Deep inside I still can't believe it! But it's starting to be reality.

I can't believe they actually got $750 million of public money. That's a ridiculous amount. There's no way the owners turn their backs on that.

The city still needs to vote right, plus it's a hotel tax which taxes all visitors ?

I think the only thing left is the owners voting?

Goodell said they'll look at meeting with the city of Oakland about viable options first. League does not want the Raiders in Vegas, maybe another team but there is more wealth in the Bay Area than Vegas.

Raiders. Sin City. What could possibly go wrong.

The League is not going to help the Raiders get a new stadium. If they didn't want the Raiders in Vegas, everything that has happened now would have been stopped

League used same language with Saint Louis last year.. Hello Las Vegas Raiders
IMO it's smart business for the NFL. Sinful weekends can now be topped off with a Raiders game. It gives more exposure to the sport and live viewing experience. Rich members of Raider Nation can still fly out there. Casinos might be able to license and package seats with weekend getaways.

It may come with sustainability issues, but Nevada's going to be paying a lot. They can always try Oakland again after the A's possibly finish a ballpark and/or the Bay stops being NIMBY.

It sometimes seems almost humorous that the NFL purports to do so much to keep the game free from the potential of gambling from influences outcomes yet the NFL.com homepage always contains tons of info on fantasy football as well as sophisticated injury reporting procedures that are in place solely to allow gamblers to make more informed bets on NFL football. Now the league has given tacit approval to the building of a facility in Vegas to house a team.

Who is fooling who? If the brand can increase its value, NFL will go to LV the minute a stadium is complete. Raiders are the likely candidate as the anti-sports mob in the Bay Area, particularly but not exclusively the East Bay, is not remotely close to helping the Raiders stay in Oakland. The current stadium is a mess and the use of a baseball field for the early part of the season is just a joke.

LV Raiders, indeed.

I'm always going to be a SF 49ers fan, but it's nice to see my home town get an NFL team. It was announced that $750 mil of public money to go to the $1.9 Billion dollar stadium plan got approved. Not sure how successful the team would be, but I'm happy for Las Vegas.
I don't get it. How is it possilble that a city is able to spend this amount of money today just for a stadium?

Hotel Tax , they have over 100 thousand hotel rooms, the tourists will pay for this along with the locals. This is going to be a disaster. lol.

St. Louis is a POS city. There is no money there compared to LA or the Bay Area
