Yeah I agree, set it and forget it. What's his draft projection?

Around when we draft him and Loane are the two OG who can go in first round

if we get a WR in FA like doubbs or Evans I wouldn't mind an OG at all although I would still prefer DL in that scenario

Oh you think he's a 1st rd prospect? I didn't think he would go that high, I was thinking more with our back end 2nd rd pick.

I doubt that he is making it to the end of the 2nd round. Its Vega, him and Bisontis as the first true guards expected to go off the board.

There's always a run on guards and OL in the first 10 to 15 picks of the 2nd. If the 49ers wanted him then it would make sense to trade back a few picks into the early 2nd and grab him there.

In general I'd rather see them move back a bit in each of the first three rounds and acquire some later picks for more flexibility.

I knew Kadyn Proctor was Polynesian when I saw his legs. This my ideal build for a tackle. He's 6'7", so he's got the natural length that comes with being that tall; but he's not high cut like a lot tend to be at 6'7". He's got a proportional build that lends itself to leverage and power. Trent Williams is built the same way. Nick Bosa said the thing that surprised him most when he first faced off against Trent was how squatty he was.

That belly needto trim down, tho. Dude's body is teetering towards slop.

In regards to the scheme, I'm hoping to see an evolution from Shanahan in the same way that McVay evolved. You can't continue to play the leverage and angle game with a light OL and fight for the perimeter against this Seattle defense. Their defensive line is way too strong at the point of attack, their LBs/Emmanwori are too damn fast and their DBs are ridiculously good at tackling and funneling things inside. I'd love to see Kyle do what McVay did and beef up the OL. Get bigger, nastier, more physical--stop trying to win the perimeter, get vertical and run the ball right down their throats. Punish them for staying in nickel in that lightbox. That's the key to unlocking their entire defense.

Wonder if that was where he was going when taking Aaron Banks. Not sure that worked out so well for us but getting bigger could help a lot of ways. Give us a better chance to close games by running the ball.

He needs better talent along the line period. There are big athletic o-linemen, but they tend to go early, and we do not generally do that.

I think he's borderline I think he will go early 2nd round may be wrong but I would be surprised if he last that long he may be the top G on some teams board

Basically him and the guards in his tier are perfectly situated where you would get a pick in a mac jones trade

We will see, you're probably right. I guess it all depends on who's there at 27.

also liking Trey Zuhn who sounds more like early day 3 IOL

Mac Jones and Guerendo for 44 and Breece Hall. Common jets, do the right thing.

I take Trey Zuhn in some of my mocks at our 171 pick - if don't get Lew in the 3rd or Gulbin in the 4th

Gulbin? Not sure he project well to outside zone. Absolute anchor inside for someone though.

Ah ok - well Lew is the guy then if we wanted a starting C but I don't think we're going to be taking him.
According to Chase Senior, Daniel Jeremiah said that Kadyn Proctor started the season at 390 pounds....

All 3 Iowa OL on this draft I like, also the 3 Texas A&M guys too, Kage Casey as well.
