Our issue is old starters who need to be replaced. First is Kittle. I Shadiq is available that settles it. Other oldsters are Trent and McCaffery. Juice gets replaced with an udfa. All are on offense so that rookie fast pash rusher can wait. Sign Bosa or Clowney-stop gap. Better yet sign Bosa for 2 years. Go for the feel good aspect and then trade them both to Miami-send them home to mom.

First is Trent to be replaced. Kittle can still play for 5+ years. And I'll die on this hill Sediq is just another Eric Ebron/Noah Fant type TE. Judging by the rest of your rambling about will C be available in the 4th. It's highly likely Logan Jones makes it there cause of his Trex arms. The Bosa stuff is just nonsense. And Breece Hall will replace CMC next year when he finally gets free from the Jets.

You're setting yourself up for disappointment if you're hoping the 49ers draft a center. Kyle Shanahan has never drafted a center--let alone started one. It's pretty damn obvious that Shanny doesn't want a rookie there.

1st and 2nd round-we gotta hit on both those. 4th round-count on no starters. Trent, McCaffery and Kittle are the old/expensive ones. A pass rusher can contribute immediately unless it's Drake Jackson. Trade two 4ths for a 3rd. Then trade another 4th for a 5th and 6th. No way we'll strike gold 6 times. Hope for 2 and patch the S and LG with old vets who never suited up for a playoff game. One would be Bitonio. Vet safety out there better than Pinnock?

I think it's more likely we develop a guy who can play G/C this year in the fourth. We may also take a tackle but it'll be very developmental.

I like our ol depth a lot more this year than how it looked last year. as long as Mckivitz & Trent stay healthy - one of the FAs or Draft Picks turns out to be a decent LG, I think Toth can replace Brendel at center (idk if it'll happen but may if any injury happens), Puni will be healthy. I know our O line wasn't great last year but I like our pieces a lot more this year than last, at this point. our depth last year was terrible, IMO.

The starting center in '27 is probably going to be a vet. Kyle has brought in one every time we needed a center. But i disagree with your other statement, i think there are some centers in round 4 we'd be able to get.

Jake Slaughter (should go rd 3)
Logan Jones (should go round 3)
Matt Gulbin
Parker Brailsford
Jager Burton
Pat Coogan

who are you targeting in rd 3 for your trade up? There are some dang good players in that 120-150 range and we can get 4 of them!!!

Round 3 trade ups - or more ideally 3rd rounders who fall to beginning of the 4th round.

Jalon Kilgore S - if he falls to 100-110 worth a trade up
Isaiah World OT - if he is there at 100-110 worth a trade up
Kendrick Law WR - if there at 110-120 worth a trade up
Bud Clark S - if there at 110ish worth a trade up
Bryce Lance WR - if there at 100-110 worth a trade up
Austin Barber / Jude Bowry OT - if one is there at 115-120ish worth a trade up

Otherwise stay put and draft 4 players in the 4th round. Ideally could trade back once from 127 to the 150s and get an additional pick in the 150-170 range.

Both Randy Cross and Jesse Sapolu split their careers between guard and center. They were able to play both positions well. Not every interior O lineman can do that but it's not uncommon.

Still absolutely love Logan Jones and hope we can get him somehow.

I don't think we will draft an offensive lineman at all in this draft.

it just doesn't seem like a priority to our front office.

Is that Day 1 as in 1st round of the draft

or

Day 1 starting LG on the field in Week 1 - which you can definitely get at #58 on Day 2 of the draft (Rutledge/Pregnon) or a guy like Jalen Farmer on Day 3 at #127.

Our LG position is very weak so I think Farmer would have a chance to be the Day 1 starter in September.

Yes, we would LOVE a Day 1 starting guard, a Day 1 starting WR, a Day 1 starting safety, a Day 1 starting CB, a Day 1 franchise LT.

They probably have a better chance of getting a solid starting guard than they do a tackle since the good tackles usually go so early. I really don't care what positions they address in the first and second rounds as long as they get players that can start. Not depth guys or injured guys that they hope can play.

Iheanachor Really makes sense then since he has LG experience and could take over LT down the road
