OL 2026 draft class discussion

Its the obvious names, but if im wanting a guard, im prioritizing Emmanuel Pregnon, Chase Bisontis, and your guy Keylan Rutledge. Id take all 3 top 64, some requiring earlier than others obviously.

If I want a developmental tackle, im prioritizing Max Iheanachor early or Jude Bowry a little later.

Why can't Blake Miller be a LT?

Will be there at #58. And it would be a great pick.

Even though I prefer Ted Hurst WR at #58 and getting Jalen Farmer G at #127.

Would not complain at all with Rutledge but thinking we aren't going G until the 4th rd now so Rutledge could be a backup plan if the WR/EDGE/S they want is not there at #58.

And it's a great backup plan.

This is difficult.

. . . Can Markel Bell play RT in the NFL?

I'm a ga tech fan. I've watched a lot of Rutledge. He's your throwback type of football player. Plays with an edge and tough as nails.
Not personally convinced Rutledge can play outsize zone. His combine numbers did a great service for him and made it a debate. But on tape he looks stiff laterally and struggles shifting directions at speed. Im sure teams will want to confirm no issue with the terrible toe injury he had.

I can't help but to think if this guy can get under Trent Williams for a year he'd be great.

I looked at his measurables on the Bleacher Report big board and here's what they were:

Height: 6'4"

Weight: 316
Arm: 33 ¼" - a Niners requirement
Hand: 10"
40-Yard Dash: 5.05 - Excellent

10-Yard Split: 1.81 - Average
Vertical: 32 ½"
Broad: 8'8"
Shuttle: 4.54 - Elite
3-Cone: 7.54 - Elite
Bench: NA

I think this kid would be just fine in our outside zone system. Movement skills don't seem like they will be a problem.
