Omar Cooper Jr-WR-Indiana

For sure, this is the most Shanahan guy in the draft that I've seen. Cooper feels like one of those players that the 49ers set their sights on and are hellbent on drafting no matter who is on the board. Coopers got a bit of Aiyuk AND Deebo in his game. This is some straight up Deebo s**t.

From my mock draft:
2 Omar Cooper Jr, WR
The perfect blend of Aiyuk and Deebo in skill, traits and usage. Early possession and utility receiver ability to start for us immediately, with the athletic ability to develop into a full time weapon.

All said and done, he's probably gonna cost SF their 27th pick imo.

I wouldn't be shocked to see him go there. He was overshadowed by Surratt and Becker to a degree at Indiana but he's a very great prospect in his own right and it seems like people are starting to catch on to just how good he really is and what a strong fit he would be in certain offenses.

In an ideal world you can grab him in the second, I think the further we get into the process he's gonna move up boards. Late 1st early second seems like the spot. I like him more than Surratt

on big boards he is starting to move up over him

i also have a strong feeling the raiders may draft him with their first pick in 2nd round to get some chemistry going

I like him. He would be a nice replacement for Jennings. I like Cooper or Denzel Boston in that spot if we lose Jennings.

But I think we need more of a man beater and a guy who can take the top off. We need to add speed desperately.

I'm not sure another possession receiver is what we need

i kept mocking him in R2 but i think there is no way he last there i would take him with pick 27

He might still be there in round 2 but probably not late when the Niners pick.

I believe that Ricky Pearsall, while a little smaller than CeeDee, can offer that same inside-outside versatility and be a volume target earner, including in the intermediate to deep areas of the field vs man or zone. Of course, it'll require him actually staying on the field, but I think its too early to label him injury prone...sometimes you just have 1 major injury that never fully heals during the season so every time it gets reaggravated we treat it as if it was a new unique injury and label the player as fragile.

If he is able to be that guy for us, all of a sudden Omar is a lot more captivating. Then I really like De'zhaun Stribling as a target for a more prototypical X receiver...but thats another name im starting to really see rise lately.

I like KC more than Cooper as of right now. I think end of the day we gotta start drafting guys that are gonna be the star level player rather than just fit a role….we got plenty of role players.

harder to do that drafting at the end of each round but we need to start figuring it out.

Dont get me wrong, I've got KC over Cooper as well. But i do feel Cooper can be a very good WR
Not gonna be there at 58 gotta get him at 27 or a small trade back.

Would love if he ran a 4.41 or better or something and made it justify the 27th pick

If he runs that fast though he is my first choice at #27 as we have the barest of bare cupboards even if we get a FA WR. First choice assuming the likes of Concepcion, Sadiq, and Lemon are all gone.

My vote is Omar Cooper at 27 and Ted Hurst at 58. WR room fixed w a FA WR

I like him more than Surratt but damn I love Becker. Dude will be a top 10 pick when he goes to enter the draft.

what I liked about Surratt is he made a lot of nfl caliber catches. Contested. In traffic etc. that's the stuff I like to see in prospects cause it gives me more confidence it'll transition to the league with him. Isn't always true but just my opinion.

id love to get this guy and sign Pearce in FA (from INDY).
