2026 Draft Prospect Watch List and Discussion

Wow; just saw that Jermod McCoy might fall in the draft due to some kind of bone plug or something that may need surgery. Nothing to do with his ACL. Very similar situation to Will Johnson last year.

And just like how I felt about Will Johnson last year (I would've taken him with our 2nd) I wouldn't hesitate to grab McCoy if he fell to our 2nd. I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be thinking about it if he's there at 27 as well; he's that good. If not for his ACL he'd easily be CB1 in this class and a top 10 prospect.

Gotta find out more about that knee though; we struggle enough with injuries.

that sucks he just had a great workout and wouldve for sure been a top 2 CB if not the top CB and gone in top 15. I would think this drops him down a round or two. i think he may be worth a 2nd round pick especially if we were able to trade down from our first and get an extra pick or two in mid round

Shouldn't we wait to see who falls?

If an OT is sitting there (last of the bunch) I can easily see a team moving up. Same if there's one WR left. Toss in early second rd picks looking for that 5th yr option. Never say never

This draft is all about the middle rounds. I'll be happy about Lawrence but if we fumble the 2nd and 4th rounds I'll still hate the draft.

Hasving the #27 pick in wha tis considered an average drafrt at best isn't an ideal spot if you're looking to trade back. Anyone trading up for that pick would probably end up with the same type of player that would get by standing pat.

🎯

Matty Maiocco selecting Malachi is a good omen for Thursday. But I heard Daniel Jeremiah say that the Cowboys might be in on Malachi at 20.

2nd time I've heard DJ link him to the Cowboys.

why is SF so bad at this? (If true)

like others have said, I understand the elite athletic traits, but his functional strength is poo poo. he has zero nasty to his game. Watching a 235lb Romeo height put the belt to him is not encouraging. The lack of true pass set reps and the constant help on his side is scary. Hopefully Chicago take him. He would fit their offense well.

You're essentially red shirting him because I cannot see him in the interior dealing with guys like Byron Murphy and Leonard Williams…Would be a total bloodbath

How would McShay know this??

We don't leak our picks. Pulling this out of his arse.

If we take Lomu, I really think he gets put at LG.

I doubt it. People was saying the same stuff about Rosengarten. Looking at the Michigan game with him the same as people looking at the TT game for Lomu.

In this system, I have no doubt he'll be fine at LT here. The best part is with TW resigned Lomu would get an extra year to get strong before being thrown out there full time.

Hell no. Rather draft an immediate starting LG that will actually play this year. Bisontis/Rutledge/Pregnon IDGAF just not OT unless they have them clearly on a tier above the other available players in terms of BPA.
Makes sense to move back. Someone will likely be wanting to move into the first @ 27th overall to get that extra year of control. Looking at teams like the Raiders/Jets/Dolphins who have many picks AND are within the first 11 picks of the second round. They all could move their 2nd + an additional mid rounder.

Ideally we trade with the Jets and give them 27th overall for the first pick of round 2 (33 overall) and a 4th rounder. Then we can field offers overnight into Friday for the 33rd overall pick and move back to the 35th-45th range while also picking up more capital.
