I'm fine with that pick, not a huge reach and he would be a big upgrade.
It would shock me if they did it though.
yeah I'd be shocked for sure but happy with the pick.

Listening to Mike Tice (former HC and offensive line coach) talk about these OL prospects, he's got Bisontis in that same tier as the Penn state OG. Loves him.

Other places say he has the best hands they've seen at guard in a while. Has to improve as a run blocker and being stronger in general.
Swing him out wide and catch touchdowns on trick goal line plays. Guard and red zone wr in one!

lol they were talking about his hand placement but I appreciate a good trick play
If we go WR in the first round (which i dont mind) we might as well go LG in round 2 make make this what i thnk will be a complete offense at that point. Send the 3rd and all 4th round pick on defense and hope 1-2 hit

If Jets want Cooper Jr and don't take him at #16 they might trade up to 27 from 33 with us if Cooper Jr is still on the board.

We get their #103 and #179 and a 2027 4th in exchange for #27.

Then we take at #33:

Bisontis G
Howell EDGE
Young EDGE
Jacas EDGE
Lawrence EDGE
Boston WR
Concepcion WR
EMW S
C Miller DT
Chris Johnson CB

So many great options that all would be acceptable if we can execute a very small trade back and grab those extra picks in the 4th and 5th.

i have a hard time thinking the jets will trade up they are a mess and dont have a QB they will need to fill a lot of holes. If anything i can see raiders trading up to pair Cooper with Mendoza

I would be surprised, but I wouldn't hate it. If we take him and he pans out, along with Puni bouncing back (after moving past the PCL issue), it would make the whole line better, and would make Brendel better.

There's no hope for Brendel he is what he is,but quality play around him could help to mask his suckage.

I would totally be fine with KC in the first and Keylan Rutledge in the second. Move back into the 3rd and grab Heights, Jaishawn or Crawford. Use the other two 4ths for BPA (TE/OL/S)

That was my point. Brendel is passable as long as he has decent guard play on both sides of him.
You can't take a guard in the 1st RD because of the 5th year option. You basically have him for 3 years unless he turns into an all-pro guard that is worth tackle money.
