2026 Draft Prospect Watch List and Discussion

No to Sadiq, just sign Isaiah Likely then take a TE in the 5th or 6th round.

Likely would be a great receiving weapon and Roush gives you actual blocking ability that they were hoping to get from Farrell.

A TE group of

Likely
Tonges
Roush

means they can get by without Kittle for the entire season even if needed.

Will take all of the above as a TE group if/when Kittle misses time! Figure out later after Kittle returns about how to work in playing time for these guys but would be a pretty incredible TE room.

This is the way.
Too soon to even start projecting. Players always seem to rise or fall in the combine and team need scan change with players leaving.

Agreed

Before the college season began, this dude was already better than anyone we'd end up with on our roster

Of course Glynch won't draft him

I don't know if there is a thread specific to talk about draft strategy or if this thread is the thread for it. But this draft I would love to see the niners do almost the exact opposite of last year. Heavy on offense and for defense a safety and little else. I think if our defense didn't have the injuries they suffered this season it would be solid with the add off a FS with some instinct and range. The offense on the other hand is in need of updates at every position at oline, TE, WR1. RB is a maybe for me. I'm interested on how James looks next year and what the deal with Guerindo is.
any thoughts?

I hate to say it but we really need another EDGE and we need a pass rushing DT….I "like" Collins but it made no sense to take him and West. Collins was a complete projection as a pass rusher and overall it was pretty meh from that point of view…Neither guy is gonna be a straight up interior rusher like we need.

hopefully some stuff can be taken care off via FA. Also imo this isn't the draft to be drafting OTs high.
The offense is not without its warts, but i think shanny and purdy can make the most out of a less than optimal situation with just a few key additions. I want another heavily defense-focused draft. Id rather build one side at a time, and have an identity that we can hang our hats on. Id rather an elite defense and serviceable offense than a pretty decent O and a pretty decent D

Purdy showed that he can find the targets given the time. I wouldn't be even a little bit upset if the vast majority of the draft went to OL, DL and the secondary.

We had a great pass blocking OL this year for the most part having a clean pocket wasn't an issue it was having the weapons to get open we need some WR especially if Jennings goes
