browns/NY/pats/jags could all use a once in a lifetime RB. Toss in the Raiders/jets/bears/panthers.
I believe all people were saying was BPA
I mean if he's this yrs generational RB there's absolutely zero chance he's makes it to 11, right? He's BPA for every single team who can't get Hunter/Carter.
If there are no trades then I would imagine the Raiders and Bears would be sniffing around AJ, with the Cowboys probably looking at moving up if he falls. If I am pretending to think like the 49ers, their M.O. has been drafting a middle round RB every draft so I wouldn't expect that to change here. They have traditionally focused on defensive line in round 1, although they also took McGlinchey so there's that. We know they like trenches in round 1. With that in mind, I would rank them:
OTs
- Campbell, Membou, Banks, Simmons
I don't think you'll use a round 1 selection on a guy who i'd consider primarily a plug defender. You'd want a pass rushing 3 tech or an edge rusher:
DTs
- Graham, Nolen, Harmon
Edge
- Carter, Green, Walker, Stewart
Given the 49ers have a serviceable offensive line, assuming Trent Williams is back, then I would favour Walker and Green. If Williams is going to retire then you are forced into taking the best available OT.
I could see the 49ers jumping to 7 to grab one of these guys if they fall.
