23. Nolen DL
49. Trey Amos / Darien Porter CB
54. Swinson EDGE
75 CJ West DL
100 Josh Farmer DL
DL and EDGE almost completely fixed by pick 100.
113 RJ Harvey RB
118 Demetrius Knight / Jeffrey Bassa LB
138 Logan Brown / Lundt OT
147 Kyle Williams WR
160 Brashard Smith RB
227 Craig Woodson S
249 Nazir Stackhouse NT
252 LaJohntay Webster WR
That would be a nice draft. I think you have some players ranked a little off though.
I don't think West or Farmer are 3rd round DT's. Not with the depth of the tackles in this class. And Knight looks to be a 2nd round LB. I don't think there's any way he drops to the 4th.
Thanks man.
If that's the case just assume it's Bassa and remove Knight.
And I think West and Farmer are 4th round DTs but early 4th rounders and I like them a lot and want to make sure I get them since I don't like a ton of the DL options after them outside of Jamaree Caldwell, Pegues (both 4th/5th rounders) and Patrick Jenkins in the 6th/7th round.
If you wait to grab the guy you want at the exact spot you think their value is then you easily lose them to another team that ranks them slightly higher or rates them the same but just picks before you. I think Farmer and West are worth a 3rd and a late 3rd.. not far off from their actual value and we fix the DL immediately in the draft.
Plus I tried to draft players that would reasonably be there at each spot - outside of Knight (although I would not be shocked to see him there at 118) I think I did that.
My two favorite RBs in the draft after the top 5 guys are RJ Harvey and Brashard Smith so I always try to grab both of them esp with Mason gone... watch their highlight videos...so damn good. And fast. Tuten would be great but he fumbled 9x the last two years and projecting Kyle to not be ok with that... but he ran a 4.32 and returns kicks so... buuuut Brashard Smith ran a 4.36 and also returns kicks and also converted to RB rom WR last year after transferring from Miami and dude can seriously run routes and catch the ball too.
