I've never heard of players coming to the senior bowl and then leaving after a couple practices. But so far Shemar Stewart and Mike Green have this year. Does this happen often?
I think the senior bowl organizers aren't happy. Heck what if more players did this, they wouldn't be able to field a team to play in the actual game.

I don't think a team has ever traded just a 5th round pick move up to the 11th pick?
would you move back to 17 and get the 49th pick and give up the 112th pick?
so we would have 17, 43, 49, 75, 99 (as top 100 picks go).
I mean I would probably do that if there's not a guy there we are in love with.

Yeah it happens all the time. Guys show up ball out and call it a day. They still get to talk to teams and get medical/measurements.

Man that's hard one at 11. There's flashes of what could be a damn good DE. The size/speed/power is undeniable. I think from day one you have a good run defender in base downs..with a s**t ton of potential as a pass rusher.
But if you put on that Campbell film, he's just getting stonewall and you can see some of the pass rusher issues![]()
What are your thoughts?
s**t I don't know how to evaluate players lol. Seems to have all the measurable's, but the rawness is a concern. Is it fair to say he's a DE version of kinlaw? Only reason I was on board today was because he did really well at SB practices lol . Scourton sounds promising

It's a weird one to me. On one hand if you show up and show you've got it after 2 practices you can see how risking injury isn't worth it.
On the other side of it...if you're going to show up, then don't half ass it IMO. I get not playing in the game but weird to bounce after not doing all the practices.

I don't like it. I guess i'm old school though. I get that its a "business decision" but is it going to be a "business decision" when you you don't play because your finger hurts?
The Senior Bowl invited you to come down to Mobile, AL and showcase your skills for the world to see. They provide you the opportunity to practice with others with similar ability and the least thing you can do is go through the entire process. Do you love football or are you just in it for the money? I get the latter but most teams don't want that.

Kinlaw had knee issues. As far as I know Stewart is healthy, with no lingering stuff. I don't think he's as raw. He's got some things he needs to work on to get to that next level. Aren't many Bosa's coming out of the draft.
I'm not amazing at evaluating guys either lol. I would love Hero to look at some of the guys and give some feedback.
I will say I won't be shocked if Stewart ends up at EDGE 2 on draft day.

I think a lot of it is doing what their agents say and they talk to the GMs.

I think if the agent says okay you've done enough then you gotta listen to them.
it also allows other players more opportunities to show what they got the rest of the week, they also call up other guys who might not have had that opportunity.
I'll bet money GMs won't drop someone on their boards because they killed it for a couple practices and they didn't want to play in the game.

Well the good thing is if they play this right, they can address a lot of issues with just the draft alone. Then fill in gaps through FA

Question becomes how big we talking about here. Dumb kid making a small mistake before learning a major lesson from it..or dumb kid hurting someone else type of deal.

1st round picks have no reason to practice the entire week of senior bowl, and they leave early every year. They're there to check boxes for scouts, and once those boxes are checked, their job is done. These players are advised by their agents who are talking to GMs, if they're given the Green light to check out it's because the TEAMS don't think it's worth risking injury just for them to "count something twice "
