he also doesn't have Graham as his top DT

2 biggest take aways from this..
1. Unless i missed it, Starks not in the 1st round.
2. I'm trading for Breece Hall so fast

It's the senior bowl bump that happens after people see guys look good there and push them up while other higher ranked prospects going into that week get forgotten.

I think once the combine happens some of these forgotten guys will climb back up. Starks is a proven baller who should test well and remind folks of his value.

The position value may drop him but we've seen a lot of examples recently how great safety play can really help a defense. It hasn't been the approach this team has taken in the past but if they're looking to become more exotic in what they do and the likelihood that Huf isn't going to be brought back I can definitely see him being a guy we take.

I want to trade down and acquire more picks. Nolen and Stewart are interesting prospects. Would love them more moving down a little.

I'm not interested in a RB or TE when we have elite level talent there right now and on the books. Like others said we have a hard enough time spreading the ball around as it is. Unless Kyle has changed his philosophy, he's said he's always gonna have a FB.

my money is on it being a DL in the first, based on lack of talent at OL and how this team operates.

as far as juice lining up as a TE, SF was 31st in 12 personnel usage last yr.

This would be ideal. I love Nolen. Not a fan of using a 1st on Stewart. As an aggie fan watched both of them play. Stewart isn't even close to Nolen's level IMO. For me it would go Mike Green, Nolen, Warren, Membo, Conerly, Starks

Stewart is a developmental guy whose best football may be ahead of him. Sure the lack of production in college is concerning but we've seen teams invest in tools with the idea of development and getting a potentially dominant player who can put it all together.

Stewart is a freak and with more playing time this year he definitely got to the QB more even if he didn't close things out. Sometimes pressures are better than sacks.

My reservation is if we're using that early pick I want a more proven player. Potential is great but we've seen potential fizzle out here. With a trade down obviously you can take more risks but it's pretty important we hit a homerun with this draft. Go with guys that have been consistent in college but still have room to develop and be better pros.

For me right now I have the following preferences in the first round

Trade up potential: Mason Graham, Abdul Carter - don't see us doing this though. Would cost too much
11th overall picks:
Too good to pass up: Either guy above if a miracle happens, Will Johnson.
Good pick at 11: Will Campbell, Malaki Starks, Mike Green, Walter Nolen
Trade down: Armand Membou, Kelvin Banks, Mykell Williams, Kenneth Grant, Josh Conerly, Shemar Stewart, Derrick Harmon, Tyler Warren

My scenarios as we sit here today

Would love to be there at 11. Will Campbell, Abdul Carter, & Will Johnson.
If above 3 is gone and I make the pick at 11: Mike Green, Tyler Warren, Ashton Jeanty or Walter Nolen
Ideal Trade down: Mike Green, Tyler Warren, Ashton Jeanty or Walter Nolen
I'm fine with trade downs: Armand Membou, Josh Conerly, Kelvin Banks, Derrick Harmon, Colston Loveland, Malaki Starks

Yeah I watch some Membou vs Stewart clips. It's pretty meh. You can see the power and he can move for someone his size. He doesn't have a pass rush plan and his hand usage is lacking. He's got to learn how to finish. All the Aggie DL were head scratchers. Talent is there imo.

I got some questions marks about green with off-field stuff and I'm not really seeing the speed to power. I want a 3 down guy that can set the edge. I think Nolen plays out of control but once he's coached up could be a wrecker. I wouldn't hate going ol' miss players in back to back rds.

Sign me the hell up!

If this happened, I'd celebrate, drive up to Colorado, slap Hysterikal upside his head, drive back home and celebrate some more.
