Yeah, it's a nonstop glazefest for Walker. The way everyone raves about his leadership, work ethic and commitment to football as the son of a football coach reminds me of Jalen Hurts--a guy that a lot of people in the draft community believed wouldn't fail because he had all the aforementioned intangibles. I've noticed Walker sliding in recent mocks, but he seemed to be a top-10 lock in older mocks. There seems to be a real shot he's the BPA at 11 when the 49ers pick. I hope they're doing their homework and not tunnel visioning for their guy.
I see now what has people excited about Jalon Walker's potential as a full-time end. I've seen Walker comped a lot to guys like Micah Parsons and Haason Reddick, and I'm starting to see the reps that are reminiscent of those guys. If the 49ers do draft Jalon Walker, I hope they have a laid out plan for success for him. I think the 2011 Aldon Smith role is the move for a guy like Walker where you have him on the field on rush reps and focus entirely on dialing in his pass rush. I'd throw all the stack LB stuff in the trash. If you're drafting this dude at 11, it's to be an end in the Niners' defense.

I don't think the 49ers will draft him, tho. I think they'll target a safer pick.
Ziggy Ansah is a good comparison. I was thinking Za'Darius Smith, but whatever I like the Ziggy comparison better.
im starting to like Stewart we are talking about a guy who has Myles Garrett upside. The lack of sacks is not due to lack of effort and he can even play inside in 3rd and long situations. He is also really good at setting the EDGE in run D. It seems like lack of sack production is more due to lack of pass rushing arsenal so the question is do you trust the coaching on the staff?
i recognize it is a boom or bust pick and we can be talking about in a few years how we drafted a guy in top 10 who at the best could set the EDGE and is a strong run defender but cant rush the passer but seeing as run D is a huge need it might be worth the risk because in 2-3 years we can be talking about how we have the best EDGE's in NFL

I like Stewart, and I like him opposite bosa, but they can't have another miss which makes me think they'll go elsewhere. Also they like Matos so 🤷♂?

He plays with his eyes on the ball, would like to see more attacking but that might be scheme. I really like this guys play being able to focus on the ball with play recognition and block-shed are some great traits to work with

I don't get what you mean by this. 49ers teach their ends to play their eyes on the ball because it is the quintessential attacking technique. You don't want to react to guy across from you because he doesn't dictate when the ball is snapped.

It almost seems like he plays spy, letting the play develop not rushing to the qb but still effective. In contrast players like Walter Nolan or Donovan Ezeiruaku attack the pocket and edge not to say they are not keeping their eye on the ball but prioritize getting to the qb

Liking Davin Vann for that late selection, versatile DL piece. Has potential to move inside on passing downs. He's very good against the run. One of the better athletes in the class. Second in the country in forced fumbles. Gold helmet type in the the locker room. No brainer for me if we miss out on DE or DT early.

Yea he is.
There are reports that his Tennessee coaches couldn't wait until he was off the team and is uncoachable
If that had been the case, it would've been in one of the many sports outlets here in state. The first I heard of it was on here within the past month.

Started watching Georgia Vs Texas, now I've done a few Texas games and their O-Line rarely looks troubled, I counted a couple of decent Graham reps, one from Grant, one from Nolen and about half from Stewart.
Jaylon Walker is giving them fits, one sack Vs Banks so far, and has them twitchy. Think Hero mentioned it above, when he gets his hand placement right he's trouble, the hands are heavy. Dare I say reminds me of Aldon Smith? (luckily our QB won't steal his girl!)
I would draft him and lock him in a room with Bosa, McKivitz and Trent. Bosa teaches him something, he uses it to batter McKivitz, and then goes up against Trent and they all refine it together.

He has all the tools. 6'5, 280 pound guys shouldn't be able to move like him. I think he can contribute as a base down end because he is very good at containing and setting an edge. He is powerful!
If his pass rushing ever catches up to his run D he could be the steal of the draft.

Watching more Texas, and I just assumed that 88 Barryn Sorrell wasn't eligible as I've heard zero buzz, but this guy is good. He's a handful, nearly always against LT's and had success Vs a lot of them. Not all that explosive, but hands are decent and has a plan. Ok measured a bit small and light I can see why there's less buzz. Good rotational edge though.
