I should've never started watching Josh Simmons.

Where the hell has Waterbear gone? He would normally be all about O linemen prospects.

Yeah it's a bummer. OT1 in this draft if not for that injury. Probably doesn't make it past NE

Well if we take him he will be forever on IR. But when he falls in the draft and the Chiefs trade up for him he will have a hall of fame career.

This is exactly what the universe does to us. If we'd have taken Mahomes he would have been Jameis Winston.

If he's still there in the 2nd it means every team has done a medical check and said "Nah" as this guy is a surefire 1st round talent. For every D'onta High tower there's a Weston Richburg.
Yeah, that's a bad injury. I can't even think of a single player that came back from that injury and regained their prior level of play.
It's sad because the dude is an incredible talent. So smooth and natural. The build, fluidity, foot speed, crafty hands, etc immediately reminded me of Joe Staley.
He'd be long gone by the 49ers' pick if he had clean medicals.
The only player that comes to mind is Jimmy Graham. Mind you he didn't put up the numbers he did in New Orleans but he was also in Seattle at that point which was an inferior offense to New Orleans and of course didn't have Drew Brees at QB. Still 923 yards and 6 tds is good for a tight end coming off a torn patella.
Your right though most players that have suffered it weren't the same players afterwards.

"Y'all ready to eat a W?" in a Kermit voice might be worth it though.

If the draft goes this way I would try my best to trade down 3 or 4 spots. If I cant I would simply take Banks, play him at LG, and have a replacement ready at LT when Trent retires.
My projected top 10
1) Ward
2) Hunter
3) Carter
4) Campbell
5) Graham
6) Jeanty
7) Membou
8) Walker
9) Williams
10) Warren

Pretty much how it will go. Sucks but I'd rather someone else take that risk.

Who is someone coming up for? One of the QBs? If most of the QB needy teams pass on them I find it hard to imagine someone wants to come up at that point.
I guess maybe the Steelers? But dropping down 10 picks with a chance to only pick up a 3rd rounder in this draft seems like a bad move to me.
Blink and you could see Nolen, Harmon, Stewart and Williams come off the board.
I can't imagine us moving down all the way into the 2nd round with Browns/Giants/Saints or any of the QB needy teams who didn't take him top 10 unless they throw in next years 1st which I'd be surprised by.

I dont care at all about losing Nolan or Stewart and would love picking up an additional 3rd. But short of that, it makes sense to shore up the OL and address DT and Edge in rds 2 and 3.

The only guy I'd like to go above us here is Wlliams, would be practically my nightmare. If the phone doesn't ring, I'd take Harmon, though Tet McMillan would be very tempting.

McMillan screams diva. He has admitted he doesn't watch tape.
I want guys on this team who work like Jerry Rice and Fred Warner. No exceptions.
