I haven't watched Banks, but he doesn't seem get much love from fans.

John Chapman loves this guy, but he's a big Texas fan.
On a side note, anyone watch 49 Cutback with Coach Ant. His favorite OL pick from last year was Puni. I enjoy his YouTube channel.

this guy any good?

6'6, 321. Looks like we are looking for a LG replacement for Banks. From what I've read Taylor is a strong run blocker but not the greatest in Pass Pro.

We had Miles Frazier from LSU in for a visit too. He's 6'6, 320 and an elite pass blocker but not great at run blocking.

Aaron Banks 6'5, 325
Dominic Puni 6'5, 320
Branson Taylor 6'6, 321
Miles Frazier 6'6, 320

Both Taylor and Frazier are probably 3rd/4th picks. Taylor played RT for the most part and Frazier played mostly RG the past two years and LG 3 years ago.

So find a guy who's around 6'6, 320, can play OT but better at OG with a 3rd round grade and that will probably be our pick. Like Puni. Who played LT and LG but better at guard.

Kudos for finding the info . Whoever they decide to go with I hope they're like Puni, an instant hit and contributor.

Taylor and Frazier aren't Puni. They don't have the foot quickness and movement skills that he has.

both those guys imo are day 3 depth/development lineman. Not LG replacements this yr imo.

Frazier can absolutely be a day 1 starter. His pass pro is NFL ready and probably the best in the class after Donovan Jackson for interior linemen.

I've spent quite a bit of time watching film on interior linemen and Donovan Jackson is a day 1 starter for sure. He's elite but Frazier isn't far off in pass sets.

I'd love Jackson in round 2 but I think he goes in the 20's

If we want to shore up our trenches on the interior draft Alfred Collins and Donovan Jackson.

Alfred Collins won't do anything as a pass rusher but he will instantly upgrade a teams run D. He's a force. And Donovan Jackson is one of the better Pro ready guards I have seen come out. He's elite and a Pro Bowl talent

Ive been playing around with a trade down to the 20's to take a D tackle and then a trade up again to the back half of round 1 to get Donovan Jackson as well as us taking Alfred Collins in round 3.

I didn't saying about when Frazier could start. I'm saying I'm not comparing to him to Puni. Different guys imo. Puni was better than him.

I think Jackson is a OG in the NFL…if you want the most out of him. I would be drafting him to play inside…and for me I'm not spending a top 43 pick on a guard.

If Collins is chilling on day 3 fine, I want my top 50 pick at DT to be able to rush the passer. He's a two down guy. I'm just not really a fan overall (based on where he's probably gonna go)

like I said above I'm not taking a guy who I think will be best as a OG in the top 50… let alone moving up into the 1st for that 🤮

But you like Membou who will probably be a guard in the NFL at 1.11?

I do not think he's gonna be a guard in the NFL and I've said that over and over. I said he can play LG for us this yr and he will at worst be our long-term RT starting in 2026.

Jackson is a OG in the NFL imo. Even thorn has him as his IOL6 in this draft, He's not a high end OT…he would be drafted to be a OG.

And I would draft him as a guard. And in the 20's too. I think he's one of the safest OL picks in the draft.

He's a Pro Bowl calibre guard from day 1.

ya he will definitely be an OT but i also disagree with your thinking of bolded above

a Guard plays literally 95% of snaps if not 100% i have no problems spending a 1st round pick on a player who plays that much and can shore up a key position.

Guard is one of the least impactful positions in football. Overpaying for that is silly imo.

draft banks 46th or Garnett 28th or take a Puni at 86th

It's a position where you can consistently find good starting OGs on day 2/3.

and you're talking about giving up draft picks to move back into rd 1 for one

time to reevaluate your latest draft philosophy

we might have 2 SB right now with good guard play
