I think there may be some OT/G prospects that are seen as C in the NFL. For example Gray Zabel is projected as a C and he may end up being the best C in the draft.

You are probably right, but the Niners historic trend of drafting physical traits and trying to re-train rookies to do new things they aren't familiar with has been a slow process in the past. That is especially challenging for a center dealing with Shanahans expectations.
I think it works for OGs, but I'd really like to see them draft an OC with four years snapping the ball.

Does this mean return of the spreadsheet like last year OTC?
If at all possible, that is my aim! To try to get as many guys scouted as I can.

I have a feeling that C might be easier to fill with a FA pick up than in the draft. But I am hoping we pick up an early to middle round OG and OT.

How did Banks look, missed the game

Just an observation about Banks/Texas OL...they only tried once at the end of the game to punch it in on 1st and goal from the one yard line down 7....the Texas line has two potential first round OL on it, and they got stuffed once, then ran wide for a loss, and basically the game. Would have liked to see them pound it in behind Banks and Cam Williams.
Oh, yeah, maybe Jack Sawyer made some money last night!

Good listen to some of the upcoming OT prospects.
Check out their takes on their own top 5. I also like the prospects that can possibly looked at different position.

Listen to this pod all the time. I actually like the idea of Campbell at center.
honestly I think this OT class is pretty underwhelming.

Run blocking is super inconsistent. That alone is gonna scare off Kyle and co.
personally I'll be shocked if they go OL in the 1st

This OL class is horrific compared to last year
We could have rebuilt our entire OL with studs last year...this is not the draft to try it

I'm actually starting to feel the same way for whatever reason.

I wouldn't mind us taking The center from UGA later in the draft to develop.
Jared Wilson- very athletic with high IQ. Very good in pass protection and does well enough in run blocking. He played alot vs quality teams the last couple of years and just got better. He was a former HS linebacker that transitioned well to Center after. If we can get him with one of our comp 4th or later to develop, that would be good as we know the class is not very good.
We can get a diamond in the rough and develop them.~Chris Foerster
