2025 Draft Class: OL

Football IQ is way up there, athleticism is there, he's technically sound too. I feel like he's going to be an elite, frequent Pro-Bowler/All Pro at LG.

I don't prefer a LG at #11 - but how do you compare him to Booker then if we are talking about a G at #11.

The thing is he would be LG for a year or so and then slide over to LT when Trent Williams retires.

I'm all for a guard later like Donovan Jackson, Marcus Mbow or Luke Kandra but then we still have a massive hole at LT when Williams retires.

And Williams is starting to show his age with injuries and such.

It would be nice to draft a guard who can play at a high level at tackle too. They are extremely hard to find

Booker is not that athletic in the way he works out. But he's a big bulldozer. Not worth #11 overall. No way. A Guard like him is not a top 15 prospect.

I meant a guard later. Like in the 2nd or 3rd

Joshua Gray would be a nice pickup. He plays like Puni. 3.99 would be a good spot for him

Yeah I can see him or somebody else at Guard later. I prefer a more athletic guy. Who can move in this system. He's more of bulldozer straight ahead. He fits the Eagles I think. More than us. But a good player. Later on and not too high I could see it with him or some other Guard. Or Center for that matter.

Anthony Belton is a huge upside LT target that can play G or RT until Trent retires. He can be had at #99.

I'm not sold on W Campbell being an elite starting LT for a decade once Trent retires.

He won't be BPA at 11. Let's get some value back for our pick with an extra 3rd if going to draft him. 14-17 is about right.

BPA is different for every team….BPA at a position of need

Well we have a **** ton of needs. DL/OL/WR/EDGE/FS/LB

No one is arguing drafting Jeanty at #11 if he is BPA.

But for example, if Lynch thought say Jihaad Campbell was BPA at #11 over all the other options outside of RB/TE, then we should draft him at #11 if we cannot trade down.

If they think W Campbell or Banks or Membou is BPA then draft that one of them. If they think Nolen/Grant is BPA draft that one of them. If they think Burden is BPA then draft him. If Will Johnson is BPA draft him. Same with Pearce Jr etc etc.

Personally with Saleh back I think we should give him a defense that he can work his magic with. He needs way more elite talent than we have so I'm a fan of loading up on defense and getting FOUR new beasts on the DL.

Trade down to 17

1. Grant DL
2. Umanmielen EDGE
3. Makuba S
3. D Alexander DL
3. Belton/Pierce OT
4. Jamaree Caldwell DL
4. Jacob Parrish/Cobee Bryant/Mohammed CB
4. CJ West DL
4. Knight/Mondon LB
5. Majors C
6. Kyle Williams WR
7. Nikolas Martin LB
7 BPA

I see no reason to have a rule against staying put and drafting all of these guys. Saleh could turn our defense with this draft into a top 5 unit again this year.

I get your thought process, I'm just trying to keep stuff real. Every team understands this draft isn't top heavy, so assuming we can trade back all the time might not be as realistic as you think.

you might have to pick at 11 because no one wants to trade up, that's a situation you have to plan for.

I feel the same way. Only reason I'm not pounding the table for him is because I'm not positive (although I think he can) that he'll be playing OT at the next level. 11 is rich for me at guard but I wouldn't be mad at all. As I'm typing this; shoot sign me up, even if he does play guard. How can someone who plays all of the offensive snaps, solidifies a position of need, with All-Pro potential from year 1 not be worth it?!!!

That was such a huge blunder. Fell right in our lap and we decided to trade with the Buccs and let them have him to take Kinlaw

If Wirfs didn't fit their "very selective" profile then I don't know who TF does

Elite company. I think the move is to take him at 11 or move down a few spots to take Banks or Membou. Just get one of the 3. I've always liked Banks but he doesn't seem to get much love in here.

You're assuming they are set on OL in the 1st. I'm fine with it but I prefer going defense at #11 if not going to trade down. But in a small trade down to get an extra 3rd and possibly 4th round pick I'm fine going in almost any direction Lynch wants to go - OL/DL/EDGE/CB/WR/TE/LB - any position works just grab the best player.

But we have so many needs it should be easy for us to grab who we think is the BPA. Just draft great players not OL just because we need to address OL.

If they think Campbell is BPA sure take him. Banks or Membou surely won't be - but in a trade down if we go Membou I'm not going to hate it at all as I really like the player.

I've been consistently mocking us with defense in the first round but lately as I dug into some of the edge guys in this class I kept seeing Membou take them out and I've grown to like him more and more in a trade down.

After today I'm not sure that will work and if we want him(assuming he doesn't go before our pick) I think smart move is to take him at 11.

Now if he is there and we trade down I can live with losing him and grabbing one of the other prospects I like but at worst we'd be getting a terrific Guard. At best we're getting a guy to push McKivitz to the bench or maybe even be our Trent Williams replacement long term. Wish he ran the shuttle.

To be fair we had Trent Williams coming in(I'm pretty sure they knew they had that trade coming) and still had McGlinchey at RT.
