And tell me he isn't a 20lbs lighter Brandon Aiyuk clone ..

He runs like Aiyuk with the ball but faster with a 4.40. Great route runner like Aiyuk. About the same height to Aiyuk as well. Appears to be an elite separator/route runner and runs violently - word that comes to mind in how he moves is suddenness or quick twitch type player stopping and starting.

Never heard of him until a few days ago but after watching his highlights I can see why we met with him at the combine.

I'd gladly take him at #43 even though I really want Braydon Swinson/TJ Sanders at #43. Need to trade back and get an extra 2nd rounder.

Boy a lot of people don't like Bond, especially Texas fans. Poor hands, takes plays off isn't a gamer, injuries etc etc.

his draft stock as been 📉

Interesting... well that's the bad thing about highlights .. only see the good. But the good was really good. Wonder why we met with him at the combine then...

Well I'm back then to trading back from #11 to #16 and drafting Golden (even though we won't do it). We must have a top flight WR to go with Pearsall, Jennings, and Robinson or we are not competing for a SB next year. And I don't trust Aiyuk at all to come back 100% and even if he does being ready to contribute much this year.

So now I can go back to Swinson at #43 :)

I mean what's the difference between

1. Golden WR
2. Swinson EDGE
3. Alexander / Norman-Lott DL

and

1. Grant / Nolan DL
2. Swinson EDGE
3. Savion Williams WR

Personally I prefer the first option. Now if you tell me Jaylen Noel would be there at 75 I'd prefer option 2 but he'll be long gone.

CB-Thomas
LBer-Bassa/paul Jr/Schwesinger/Buchanan
DL-nolen/graham/Alexander/Caldwell/pebbles/ Williams/west.
EDGE-Umanmielen/Ezeiruaku/Walker/Swinson/Oladejo
OT-Membou/Grant/Jackson (others depending on when you draft them)
IOL-Slater/Kandra/Wilson
WR-I haven't watched much there. I like Harris/bech and the Iowa St kids based on where I would feel comfortable taking a WR.
TE-Taylor/Arroyo/loveland (haven't done deep dive on later rd guys.
RB-there's half a dozen I'd be cool with. I don't what to spend a day 2 pick on one though. Tuten Might be fun in this scheme.

You forget TJ Sanders for your DL guys since I've seen you mention him before.

Add him to the list ✍ not sure I'm taking him at 43 though.

Good chance he's not there at #75 though.. he may be one of those in between rounds picks where his value doesn't match with the pick but he won't be there by your next pick.

It always baffles me, there's a 5'11" CB who is too short to play outside, yet a 6'1 CB is seen as having ideal height. Do people realise how small the difference is? If you can ball you can ball.

This Barron can't play outside talk reminds me a lot of the Justin Jefferson can't play outside talk on this board back in the day.

Looking at the Oregon Pro day roster...feels like if we somehow just took all Ducks, we could do OK.

I'm down

11. Harmon
43. Conerly Jr.
75. Burch
100. Tez
113. Bassa
139. Caldwell
147. Jordan James

Crazy that that's actually not bad lol

And in the range of where they'd be available. Would prob have to switch Bassa and Caldwell but hard to say where a player is actually going to get picked.

Switch Tez with Ferguson and we're cooking.

I wouldn't be crazy about taking Tez. To me it would echo Harbaugh taking LaMichael James. For me he is just too light, especially with the importance of having receivers block down field, but I would be more than receptive to just about every one else on that list.

We would lose just like the Ducks always do in big games.

Our best CBs last year were Green, Ward and Demo that's why 80% of his snaps were in the slot. We didn't pay him just to be a nickel he's paid to be a CB. He gives us the versatility to draft either a strictly a boundary guy like Johnson or grab a guy like Barron and kick Demo back outside.

IMO they play Demo at NCB because that's where he's at his best. That's where he played in 2023 as well.

like you said that's the hardest spot to play at CB.

if they view Lenior as our full-time boundary CB going forward than Barron does make more sense.

IMO it would be about matchups. Facing the Seahawks, Rams or Vikings you put Lenoir in the slot vs their #1 WRs. Facing teams who's #1 doesn't do most their work out of the slot you let Barron handle it. Being less vulnerable to motion matchups is a good thing as Green is capable of taking the slot guy as well. With how much motion is in the NFL it would be great to not have a "oh s**t why is he on that guy" moment
If we are wanting to put Demo in the slot then we really need an outside CB and should target Trey Amos or Azareye'h Thomas at #43. Amos may be gone by then.

Or take Will Johnson at 11

Or that.

I totally get that. I still don't view that as a massive advantage when two of your starting CBs are much better inside though.

I mean he has been in the slot mostly for a couple yrs.

Overall I think we could do worse, but wouldn't be my ideal pick at 11.

Blows my mind when people say so and so "can't" do something when they literally been doing it. Winning the best DB in college football to boot
