2025 Draft Prospect Watch List and Discussion

If he gets passed the Chiefs at #31 I'd be shocked. There's no way he runs the Gauntlet at the start of Rd2 either.

Would not be surprised if they trade up for an OT.

KVN was a guy that was considered a bust until Belichick got his hands on him and showed the league how to use him. I think Walker needs to end up in a similar situation with that with that type of defensive mind.

Interesting, why did you row back your opinion of the Flores type D?

Saleh has always had specific roles in his D, and they're changing. Used to have a big end and an Elephant, abandoned it to go with a wide 9.

He's fiddled with his 3rd LB role, basically had 2 Mike's with a SAM.

Been traditional with WILL, Mike and Sam.

He doesn't really bring exotic blitzes, but he's embraced the A gap stuff, for me there's enough for Walker to do in his base D, and then give him to Kocurek for the passing down work.

He didn't row back his opinion with the Flores take.

I agree with both phx and hero on where has the best chance to thrive schematically, I don't think it's here. We will see!

I think that's a cop out, our scheme is not set in stone. Saleh has adapted over the years, whilst I don't expect a blitz happy scheme, there's still enough to work with here.

Stumbled on this channel, some interesting takes.

Hella short arms kind of scare me. I think it will affect his ability to wrap up and shed blocks.

Had the lowest missed tackle rate among all the LBers in this draft at 4.5%. He's actually a really good tackler

Bottom of the barrel blitz team for years. Not a cop out. Just the truth of it.
After months of back and forth and flip flopping in set on 2 guys at 11

1- Mykel Williams
2- Derrick Harmon

And NYniner85's constant harping on Armand Membou has warmed me up a bit. I wouldn't be upset with him at 11 even though I don't want OL at 11. NY made a good point of having Membou on a rookie contract and that McKivitz will probably get a Jaylon Moore type contract next year in free agency.

And my 2nd round targets are

1- Darius Alexander
2- Carson Schweshinger

I want both these guys.

And either Lathan Ransom or Andrew Mukuba at S and Quincey Riley or Cobee Bryant at CB in round 3

And Jordan Phillips and Elijah Roberts in round 4

Draft

1- Mykel Williams / Derrick Harmon
2a- Carson Schweshinger
2b- Darius Alexander
3a- Lathan Ransom / Andrew Mukuba
3b- Cobee Bryant / Quincey Riley
4a- Jordan Phillips
4b- Elijah Roberts

I'm not saying we're going to start sending loads of blitzes, I'm saying that we use A gap stuff (with or without actually sending them) and theres plenty of him to do on base downs, and I believe he can become a very good obvious pass down rusher.
Does anyone remember that YouTube channel last year that had Puni, Green and Pearsall as the top 5 sleepers in the draft? Interested to see what they said this year.

It's like John Lynch hosted this....

Right on for the video. I hope they're doing another video this year during draft week.

Treveyon Henderon at pick 98? Sign me up.

If he gets passed the Chiefs at #31 I'd be shocked. There's no way he runs the Gauntlet at the start of Rd2 either.

If he is there at #43 it may be an autopilot for Shanahan.

I would approve.

Would be hard not to, the talent gap between #11 & #43 isn't actually going to be much. There should be a great player there.

Just Please not the DE out of Texas A&M dude only had 4.5 sacks. He seems to be a workout warrior.
