He would be a great value for us and would make the roster

What in the hell are the 49ers doing? Just about everyone they've drafted has been a reach, and they just gave up two 5th round picks to move up 6 spots to draft an RB who will probably never get a carry. Their two current backup RB's hardly get any carries! And their past two 3rd round RB's were busts. Hopefully Pearsall will be a good "move the chains" type WR, and Puni will be a versatile OL, but outside of that, this draft seems like waste!

Mitchell (injured a LOT) and Mason are FA after this season and will cost more than a 4th round rookie to keep.

Guerendo reminds me a lot of Pacheco - speed and power. This is a solid pick that provides better, more reliable depth behind CMC

I think he's like 4 inches taller bro. Am I wrong? lol.

I guess he will be an exception made for the "no block no rock" rule? If that had been Christian Jones or Hunter Nourzad I'd be liking the draft a bit more now. I'm not really sold on Renardo Green either. But those are the only picks I haven't "liked" based on the player taken - not who we passed on in the spot.

One scouting report said he was a willing blocker - willing to get in the way to help on run plays. At his size, he won't move many guys but all he has to do is slow them down at bit for CMC and Guerendo to flash by.

Yes, he is taller. My reference was to how he runs. Tied for 4th fastest at the combine regardless of position.
Everyone but Niners: "you build in the trenches"
niners: slot receivers, nickelbacks a safety and another f'ing running back.

did Kyle leave the room in the 3rd?!

You're waaaay off on this. I've been following the draft closely the past 10-15 years and this is the best draft the Niners have had that I can remember just in terms of need/fit/skill/potential. Obviously you never know how prospects will turn out but for all the things above it's been an A draft

I disagree. The Niners could have traded down and gotten most of the guys they picked later while acquiring more picks. Example: Malik Mustapha in the 4th round, described by NFL.com as "having a chance to be be an average backup." Green was considered a 3rd of 4th rounder on most boards. And why do you give up two 5th round picks to move up 6 picks in the 4th to draft an RB that will hardly ever play? There was still a very versatile O-Lineman and good pass catching TE on the board at that point.

Can't just read 1 or 2 scouting reports and come to a conclusion. All the decent OL are long gone, we just drafted 2 TE's last year, a position notorious for taking a while to learn/excel at. Very few rookies really are a difference maker at TE year 1 unless they are 1st rounders. We have one of the top 3 best rosters in the league for a reason.

Christian Jones was there. Twice. Cowing is a tiny slot receiver, something we have no need for. Latu was not highly regarded at all, he was a reach, and tore his ACL. The level of effort to justify this all is something.

So you want them to use a 4th/5th rd pick on a pass catching TE when we used a 3rd on one last year who they liked. We don't need Cowing this year per se at slot unless there's injuries but like several ppl have said, Juan Jennings is gone after this year and quite possibly we will trade/move on from Deebo. Everyone knows it's very difficult to learn Shanahans system as a WR, especially as a rookie. You could be looking at Pearsall, Aiyuk and Cowing as our starting 3 next year with 2 of those guys having a year under their belt.

Nah Kyle went back to playing Madden for next years plans without a o line worth a crap. He does not need o lineman he is smarter and can out scheme the issue. You know the genius 2nd place participation trophy holder.

It was a meniscus injury that required surgery. He essentially red-shirted the year. He WAS solidly regarded hence his 3rd round selection out of Alabama.

Your constant negativity now has you altering the truth to enhance your narrative. It's getting tiresome.

They drafted more for 2025 than 2024 lol

It's almost like we don't already have a SB caliber team...
It really makes me laugh the way the TV guys rave about some of the players being taken in the 3rd, 4th and 5th rounds. The way they talk about them you wonder why they had them so low on their boards. To hear them talk every guy is going to make the team when in fact many won't.

They drafted good players. Brought in like 4 dudes on that DL in FA and resigned the 5th best OG in football last yr.

I know got the team to the SB with that "horrible" OL.

what a bunch of crybabies.
You know what ALSO helps pass pro? WRs that can separate quickly…they drafted two of those guys. They drafted a damn good lineman in the 3rd on top of it.

but yes let's cry about not drafting Jones who half of you know nothing about and clearly the league doesn't think he's that good either
People freaking out that we didn't draft Jones and yet like 30 picks later he is still on the board. I think this is a case of people looking at the position and not the player. Oh he's OT we better grab him.
