He would be a great value for us and would make the roster

What in the hell are the 49ers doing? Just about everyone they've drafted has been a reach, and they just gave up two 5th round picks to move up 6 spots to draft an RB who will probably never get a carry. Their two current backup RB's hardly get any carries! And their past two 3rd round RB's were busts. Hopefully Pearsall will be a good "move the chains" type WR, and Puni will be a versatile OL, but outside of that, this draft seems like waste!
Mitchell (injured a LOT) and Mason are FA after this season and will cost more than a 4th round rookie to keep.
Guerendo reminds me a lot of Pacheco - speed and power. This is a solid pick that provides better, more reliable depth behind CMC

I'm actually okay with taking the RB, IF he actually gets to play. I love Mason, but it's time to give up on Mitchell. But Cowing has me scratching my head. I guess he will be an exception made for the "no block no rock" rule? If that had been Christian Jones or Hunter Nourzad I'd be liking the draft a bit more now. I'm not really sold on Renardo Green either. But those are the only picks I haven't "liked" based on the player taken - not who we passed on in the spot.

You're waaaay off on this. I've been following the draft closely the past 10-15 years and this is the best draft the Niners have had that I can remember just in terms of need/fit/skill/potential. Obviously you never know how prospects will turn out but for all the things above it's been an A draft
I disagree. The Niners could have traded down and gotten most of the guys they picked later while acquiring more picks. Example: Malik Mustapha in the 4th round, described by NFL.com as "having a chance to be be an average backup." Green was considered a 3rd of 4th rounder on most boards. And why do you give up two 5th round picks to move up 6 picks in the 4th to draft an RB that will hardly ever play? There was still a very versatile O-Lineman and good pass catching TE on the board at that point.
Can't just read 1 or 2 scouting reports and come to a conclusion. All the decent OL are long gone, we just drafted 2 TE's last year, a position notorious for taking a while to learn/excel at. Very few rookies really are a difference maker at TE year 1 unless they are 1st rounders. We have one of the top 3 best rosters in the league for a reason.
Christian Jones was there. Twice. Cowing is a tiny slot receiver, something we have no need for. Latu was not highly regarded at all, he was a reach, and tore his ACL. The level of effort to justify this all is something.
