I feel like K Davis is that penetrator that we like inside, but we need someone that can anchor and overall that's not really his game.

I agree with everything you said but I still haven't posted my sleeper pick that will inevitably become a 49er.

Byron Young or Jaquelin Roy? I do like Mazi smith. His numbers don't do him justice.

Every defensive scheme has a nose tackle. It's a position that's been relegated to base downs since the boom of the passing game in the NFL, but as last season showed the 49ers, they're still very important.
The true differences is in the techniques. The 49ers' use a penetrating 2i nose in their base wide 9, which means he lines up over the inside shoulder of the weakside guard. What makes playing nose in this scheme so pivotal is the massive spacing(bubbles) between the defensive line. It puts a lot of strain on the two interior defensive lineman to stay in their gaps and not get displaced against a barrage of double teams, which is exactly how teams attack this defense.
One thing the last few seasons has taught us is that we need to move away from these undersized 280-290 pound interior DL. 49ers have used these guys like relievers in baseball where they're asked to come off the bench and give max effort for a few plays. Unfortunately, when we're forced to rely on them, they become massive liabilities. 49ers need to add serious BEEF inside. 300+ dudes that are athletic enough to get upfield and strong enough to withstand/defeat double teams. They had the right idea with Javon Kinlaw. It just didn't work out, but that's the type of bodies we need inside.

Byron Young the DT from Alabama could have made this list as he has played all across the line during his career, but Roy is more like an AA, one gap penetrating DT. A mix of one run stuffing NT and another one gap penetrator would be ideal for the Niners in this draft. Need to get the d line rotation built back up IMO.
