Who's the best WR coming out in draft - that you would take in early first?

Given all the Deebo rumors - WR will be a big need if he's traded....
Burks, ran the ball at Arkansas, lined up in the slot and outside. Bigger than Deebo, but a little slower. I think he could be had anywhere from 15 on IMO.
1. Stand pat and take Wilson

2. Trade down and take Burks

3. Trade further down and take Moore or Watson and then use one of the picks you gained to add yet another WR in the 3rd round somewhere.
I'm not interested in Williams. Recently tore his ACL and couldn't get on the field with Wilson and Olave at Ohio State. I know he exploded last year with Bama but as an OSU fan I was never impressed with him there.
Lynch cannot take an ACL reclamation project after trading away an all pro, lol. He'd look like a complete buffoon.

All of this.

After his meteoric rise, his stock has cooled off a bit. I suspect we could grab him in the early third.

But remember, Deebo probably can't be replaced by one guy. If he's traded, expect us to draft a WR and RB fairly early.
10th- Garrett Wilson
10th-20th Jameson Williams
21st-34th- Jahan Dotson
35th-?George Pickens
61st-?Alec Pierce

If I went Pickens or Pierce I'd double dip in the 3rd with a "gadget" guy
IF Deebo is traded, they need to draft two WRs.

I'm hoping they target a WR with their earliest pick, and then take one of the speed slots in the 4th or 5th.

I agree that adding a RB, 3rd down back with plus speed and receiving skills would also be ideal.

Assuming we only get pick10 this year and maybe future picks, I'd like us to trade down a bit. Get a mid to late first round and gain a couple of second rounders. Move some of our later picks to move up. I would love to have a couple of 2nds and 3rds when all is said and done. Draft best available player related to our needs.. get a couple of WR, Center, Safety, ER,OT . I like option 1 if there are additional picks to go with pick 10 for example. If not trade down.

Don't draft the WR version of Javon Kinlaw to avoid another Defo situation.

But seriously, I wouldn't draft a WR in the first, especially not at the top of the first round. I haven't evaluated this class, but based on the countless I did evaluate in the past, the best WRs rarely come out of the first round. Obviously, this is a guideline and not a rule, but still. If the 49ers get, let's say, the 10th overall pick, I'd go for a high-value position(ie OT/EDGE/man CB). Day 2 is ostensibly the sweet spot for WRs(Davante Adams, Deebo, AJ Brown, Cooper Kupp, etc).

If the team loses Deebo, they've got to accept the reality that he's not going to be replaced, especially by 1 player. It's just not happening. The best approach is to strengthen the most important positions on the field while using multiple players to try and replicate Deebo's production.

This. Stingley would be much better value than grabbing a WR early in a deep class of WR talent. If he's gone then try and trade down and address the IOL or drop down even further and see who's available still at WR in the 30-40 range, while picking up a 2023 1st.

They absolutely can not draft Williams. He's a guy who only played a full year in college and wound up with a serious knee injury. Maybe its just really bad luck and he'll be perfectly healthy the rest of his career but this team in particular cannot take that risk after what has happened with Kinlaw.

I agree...but. Assuming Deebo is traded, the Niners must build their WR depth. I totally agree that no one player can replace Deebo. They need at least 2x WRs, and hopefully a receiving RB.

Best case scenario, if they get the 10th. They trade down into the teens, and trade up to get multiple high 2nd rd picks.
