Who would you take if you were the 49ers GM?

slater or trade down.
Option A,B or D work for me. But this draft is pretty deep with O line and DB so I'm taking the Edge and filling the rest out later. Ojulari would ultimately be my selection
As of right now, I currently am rooting for Trey Lance or Azeez the edge rusher. But since I said no QB's or trades I currently like the thought of adding Azeez to our Dline. Crush the opposing offenses on every series and get as many sacks and Ints as possible.
Farley is the best player IMO, though it is concerning he didn't play this year as CB's stock year to year is so volatile.

I'd probably go Slater for his Tackle flexibility.
Interested to see poll with Jones and Pitts added to it.
Slater, without a doubt. Guard, Center, Tackle. He can do it all.

If not Slater, trade down for Ojulari.
Pending free agency, it's got to be cornerback.. given the options provided here, Farley is likely best player available and plays a premium position. Even if we resign Jason verrett, what happens if he gets injured? We have no one behind him. sure we play a predominantly zone scheme and historically you can find zone corners later in the draft that'll be serviceable but we need a guy who is ready to play from day one given the lack of players and the only players we have being injury prone for their entire careers.

I assume the popular choice here would be Slater, and I think he should actually be the third choice behind an edge rusher. I think he gets inflated because of his perceived versatility, but I think darisaw is a better tackle and I think Vera Tucker is a better guard

I like Farley a lot.
And many of the players this year sat out or we have a small sample size. I wish Lance had played more as well.

Slater is kind of the smartest and safest pick.

you should add Mac to the options

playing along though, probably Farley, Ojulari or trade down. Assuming we keep Trent Williams that is

My order is first QB, then Edge but you can probably trade back a little and still get the guy you want. But I also like how Azeez seems a little under the radar and could be a steal. After that, I like Oline if the guy they like is there.

All the top QB's being gone by our pick is a very real possibility this year. In the last 10 years, we have seen many teams add a pass rusher and instantly become a better team. The Niners added Aldon Smith and our secondary became much better. I feel like the same thing happened when we added Bosa.

I agree, there are just too many CB's talked about as 1st rounders, then have a rough year and go Day 3, what's to say that wouldn't have happened to Farley?

Most other positions are more stable.
