Although I'd love it if they were both interested in drafting Mills, Adebo and Fehoko were also big name targets for the Niners in the upcoming draft.

They met with Fehoko and Adebo is a scheme fit for sure...I put absolutely no weight into who goes to a Stanford pro-day.

A lot of QB's play in wide open spread out offenses with simple reads. I thought Davis was asked to do a lot of NFL things. Made/Attempted big boy throws.

You mean the whole drafting a 3rd round prospect with very good traits to develop with a coaching staff they can trust over trading multiple picks to get into the top 8 to draft a 1st round prospect with very good traits that also needs to be developed? lol

The differentiating factor is how much development is necessary.

Even if he turns out as a good backup at the most, it would have been worth it IMO. But now, we're most likely moving on from him. It happens to every team. Look what happened to the massive Goff and Wentz trade up not too long ago. The price you pay if it works out, it's awesome. And if doesn't ...
Good teams remedy those mistakes. That's why the Rams traded for Stafford. It's why the Broncos signed Manning. It's why the Cardinals drafted Murray.
Heck, some teams get another QB before they've even had a chance to evaluate their new one. For example, Seattle drafted Wilson after giving a huge contract to another QB. But they didn't let themselves get hamstrung by the contract: they played the best guy.
You can either retreat in fear and no longer risk anything to upgrade the position, or you can count your lumps and then try again.
I wouldn't model my QB talent acquisition plan based on anything associated with the Rams or Cardinals. Just my honest opinion.
As for correcting mistakes, you have to figure out the problem first before you can correct the mistake. That's hard to do at the QB position because of all the intangibles that may be the problem in a QB. Kyles father never could draft a franchise level QB, he got lucky with Elway, but ran out of luck after that.
