Long and lanky at 6-1 205Lbs had a great game vs AU. physical press corner.
We love our South Carolina prospects and he fits the "mold" at CB.
Here's a couple clips.
AU WR Williams is a big WR (225lbs) who bullies dudes top in WR talent, not so much vs Horn

Thanks for making this thread. He was someone that kept popping up on video clips when they were discussing Kinlaw last year. Dominated last weekend even with his counterpart (and future high draftee) Mukuamu out.

Can he be had in the second round?

What's his tackling like? We need to start evaluating cornerbacks like Belichick, and it begins with tackling.

I think his offseason prospect ranking was 2nd round, but after his performance last week, I can see him being a 1st round prospect.Talent pool for DBs are high next season with corners and safeties. Some talent could definitely fall in the 2nd.
Personally, I think we should target corner in the 1st and 2nd rounds. Jaycee Horne and Paulson Adebo.

Physical. Funny that you bring that up. They were talking about it in Saturday's game when he was playing against Seth Williams. Horn isn't afraid to tackle, so pretty much the opposite of Witherspoon lol.

I'm waiting til I get to see Arizona State play before I get excited about any cornerback. But this guy looks good and fits the prototypical size. I really like Shaun Wade also. But if my guy the underdog Jack Jones starts popping off imma get real annoying.

What's crazy is that his teammate, Mukuamu, is apparently projected higher. Would the niners take both?! HAH San Francisco 49erGamecocks

He's a CB that I think would be available late 1st where I'm hoping we pick, he had a great game Saturday that definitely raised his stock, but id def rather Farley, Surtain or Wade if the niners have a chance at them.
Was my CB3 going into the season (Farley, Wade, horn). Currently CB3, but behind Farley and Stokes. Wade and surtain would round out my 5

This class is nice. We most definitely will have a shot at a stud if we go that route round 1

49ers gotta go pass rush again. Lets face it, Dee Ford is never gonna give the 9ers a full season. Like you said, its a nice class and I bet a solid CB will be there in the 2nd.
Patrick Surtain
Shaun Wade
Caleb Farley
Tyson Campbell
Israel Mukuamu
Asante Samuel Jr.
Aaron Robinson
But I just think that with Sherman (who needs to be re-signed), Verrett and Mosely, pass rush would be the way to go.

Horn's stock in rising because the OTHER CB draft prospect on the South Carolina roster, Israel Mukuamu, is injured. I would hope that Horn's rise would push Mukuamu's stock down so the Niners could have two good options for the first and the second round at CB.
