1. Zach Wilson had his medical checks done and Sam Darnold was traded away pointing to Wilson being the pick for the Jets so now there's no reason for Kyle to hide his excitement for Fields

2. Kyle knew that while it was supposed to be non televised it would still get out so he actually wants Wilson and is trying to will the Jets into taking Fields by showing how smiley he was during his workout

3. None of this matters because Chris Simms knows Kyle and we're drafting Mac Jones

Draft can't come here soon enough.

I'll say one thing...I'm confident whoever we pick at QB will have success. My only concern if the pick is Mac Jones that Kyle's ego is bigger than his brain which doesn't paint a pretty picture long term for the franchise. Which is why I pray the pick is either Fields, Wilson or Lance.

Mort and Fowler on ESPN said that teams have been very impressed with Fields on the white board...including SF. They feel very comfortable with his football IQ and any of the work ethic/not going through or understanding progressions is simply not true at all

Chris Simms is not a good analyst or player evaluator. He was a decent QB in college and that's it. If his daddy didn't win that one Super Bowl no one would care about either of them.

I liked Rosen at UCLA but it's obvious that he isn't an NFL starting QB.

I agree. The point is that the things being said about Mac Jones now are very similar to what was being said about Rosen in 2018 and that should give anyone pause.

Yup, Rosen was regarded as a top end pocket passer with elite mechanics, processing, accuracy, and was great vs pressure. All while playing on a trash UCLA team.
