Yikes, that's a terrible take right there.

Horrible take

I kinda agree that the team needs to probably overhaul the WR position. They shouldn't write him off, but Pettis is trending in the direction of a draft miss. Bourne works his ass off, but the best way to describe him is that he makes just enough splash plays to make you think he has a higher ceiling than he really does. Taylor, James, and KB are all replaceable IMO.

A. Look for a trade partner
B. Draft Tua as the salary slot at 13 is feasible for a back up player QB. Let him develop and see if competition is good even at the qb spot

If he slid past #6, top 10 teams would be going crazy trying to trade down. But I could see Jacksonville at #9 or Raiders at #12 taking him if he fell.

Not a whole lot of difference in between the arms lengths or builds. Not saying Chiasson is Ford either, but having a guy who is so similarly built who possesses good athleticism and is also a speed rusher to learn from this year could go a long way for Chiasson. He also would have a year rotating in behind 2 good edge rushers to develop his pass rush moves.

Would much prefer to go in a different direction in round 1 and get Okwara if we want an edge rusher on the first 2 days though.

Yeah Ford was much more polished as pass rusher than Chiasson coming out of college. Throw in
Chaisson's injuries, I'm not touching him in the 1st.

I really hope they trade Pettis for a late round pick, being a healthy scratch doesn't look good at all. I'd keep James, he's a valuable return man, but Taylor is out IMO, well if anything put on IR again. Agree with you on Bourne and hopefully he can be included in some type of draft day trade.

I want Lynn Bowden to replace James. Much more dynamic player.

If Ruggs makes it to #13 - we better take him.

Depends on what the tradedown offers look like. I wouldn't be mad if they traded down and ended up with someone like Chaisson, Gross-Matos, Aiyuk or Fulton and picked up a few extra picks in the process.

I don't think there is any chance Tua falls to us at 13. Even if somehow both the dolphins and Chargers were dumb enough to pass on him. You still got other teams who could take him like the Jags and raiders. You also have the likely scenario of teams trading up way before us to grab him. If he did somehow Miraculously fall to us at 13, then I think you have to take him. QB is the most important position in the NFL. Getting someone with Tua's talent at 13 is a no brainier. I would have no problem with letting him and Jimmy G compete for the starting job. evaluate both QBs this season. If Jimmy G is the better QB you should still be able to get some draft capital back for Tua. It is worth some potential losses to ensure we got the QB position solved.

If they draft a DE early, I'm much more excited about Gross-Matos than Chaisson.

Would prefer we trade down with #31, but if everyone is gone at #13 the prudent thing to do is to trade down.
Sounds like the Dolphins are zeroed in on Herbert now. Maybe that smokescreen about NYG liking him has them worried and that's why they want to jump up.
