49ers Options at #13: Someone's Gotta Drop

The 49ers are in a really nice place owning the #13 overall pick, and I'm not really worried at this point due to the plethora of options that should be available. Think about the number of teams that have needs at positions we're already set at -- QB, OT to an extent, RB, LB, S. Then look at all the options at other positions and players that should be on our board and in play with a top 15 pick. Discussion starts now: 1. Henry Ruggs-WR-Alabama Ruggs is a quick-twitch monster with huge hands and simply unfair physical advantages. 2. Jeffrey Okudah-CB-Ohio State Consensus top CB in this class. 3. Yetur Gross-Matos-DE-Penn State Widely considered the 2nd best DE in this class after Chase Young. 4. Jerry Jeudy-WR-Alabama Arguably the top WR in this class. 5. Ceedee Lamb-WR-Oklahoma Also arguably the top WR in this class, depending on who you ask. 6. Derrick Brown-DT-Auburn Arguably the top IDL in this class. 7. Javon Kinlaw-DT-South Carolina Also arguably the top IDL in this class. 8. CJ Henderson-CB-Florida Considered the #2 CB in this class by many. 9. KLavon Chaisson-EDGE-LSU LB/DE Edge hybrid player similar to Dee Ford, considered a close 2nd behind Isaiah Simmons. 10. Cesar Ruiz-OL-Michigan Skyrocketing draft stock, considered the best IOL in this class. So, I've just listed 10 players right there who could be in play. Now consider the plethora of others in this class who are talked up as Top 15 picks: QBs: Joe Burrow, Tua Tagovailoa, Justin Herbert, Jordan Love RBs: JK Dobbins, Deandre Swift, Jonathan Taylor OTs: Tristan Wirfs, Mekhi Becton, Jedrick Willis Jr, Andrew Thomas LBs: Kenneth Murray, Isaiah Simmons DE: Chase Young That's 14 other prospects who are considered by just about everyone and their mama as Top 10-20 picks in this class. Someone will fall. We just have to be sure we get the right guy.

I almost get the feeling that one of those stud OL will drop (Wirfs and Bechton) and then we really have a tough decision on our hands. If somehow we had a choice between Wirfs, Bechton, Simmons or Okudah at 13, then WR has to wait. Man wouldn't that be nice??

This. If Okudah is there, you don't stop to think about it, just send that card in before the league shuts down the rest of the draft for quarantine.

Would be as easy as it was turning the card in for Bosa. Okudah can legitimately be the top CB in the league before his rookie contract is up

Really hoping 4 QBs go before the Niners pick (some team is infatuated w/ Jordan Love). Then, say 4 OTs go...that's 8 players off the board. Young & Simmons will go...that's another 2. Then, just two more picks until the Niners are up!

Never happens anymore, Barkley was the exception not norm.

Barkley, Fournette, McCaffery, Elliott, Gurley...Since 2015, all top ten picks.

I agree. If he dropped to 13 then this virus is having effects on people's brain. You can argue about the best QB, the best WR, the best OL but there is no argument on the best corner.
