Watched some tape of him and man is Higgins smooth. Also, is a natural when it comes to catching with his hands and has fantastic body control. I'm on board for Higgins. Looks the part of being a #1 at the next level.

Yeah he's excellent at high pointing and using his strong hands. Plus, he's from Clemson which is like a WR factory lol.

What WRs from the past 5 years have come out of Clemson who is worth a darn not named Mike Williams?

Deandre Hopkins and Sammy Watkins aren't too shabby. Forgot about Martavis Bryant too

You forgot about the great Hunter Renfrow

I feel like the 49ers WR draft board isn't even that hard to take a guess at. Assuming that Jefferson, Lamb, Higgins, Ruggs, and Jeudy are all gone and we trade back, I'd imagine the WR board (at this point) would not be terribly far off from something like this:

1. Jalen Reagor
2. Denzel Mims
3. Brandon Aiyuk
4. Michael Pittman Jr.
5. KJ Hamler
6. Antonio Gibson
7. Bryan Edwards
8. Devin Duvernay
9. Laviska Shenault
10. Antonio Gandy-Golden
11. Chase Claypool
12. Van Jefferson
13. Lynn Bowden Jr.
14. Collin Johnson
15. Joe Reed
16. Tyler Johnson

WR/RB traits players: Reagor, Gibson, Duvernay, Shenault, Bowden, Reed

HT-WT 50/50 traits players: Gandy-Golden, Mims, Pittman, Edwards, Claypool, Johnson

RAC Monsters: Aiyuk, Hamler, and everyone in the WR/RB combo list above.

"Just football players": Van Jefferson, Tyler Johnson

From the past 5 years? I'm thinking Watkins, Hopkins, and even Bryant are more than 5 years out.

Renfrow is a fantastic slot receiver as well. Loved him as a prospect coming out last year.

He's a prospect but hasn't quite broken out yet.

I could see them grading Aiyuk above Mims. Shanny stresses the importance of WR being able to break down their body and get in and out of breaks without losing speed. Mims is a little stiff on tape while Aiyuk is smooth as butter.

Renfrow was an absolute baller for Oakland last year, man. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/raiders-wr-hunter-renfrow-finishes-as-one-of-the-top-rookie-receivers-in-2019/ar-BB10ZROT

49 rec, 605 yards, 4 TDs as a rookie slot receiver. Finished the season with back to back 100 yard game. Those are fantastic numbers for a rookie slot guy.

Oh I don't doubt you could be right. Definitely. That's why I wanted to be really clear to specify that list as a loose "something like this" and by no means absolute or anything. I put the two really close together for what I think the 49ers are searching for, so come draft day, I'm really really intrigued to see how things shake out and who we graded the highest at that particular slot whenever we pick a WR.

What's the difference between 5 years versus 6 and 7 lol?

Don't know the case with Clemson, but first place is look is the coaching staff...o coordinator and wr coach specifically. Also, the recruiting class..if a team isn't consistently recruiting top talent and having the same team in place to develop said talent, you can't consider that team to be a "positional factory.". I know you likely didn't mean it to be taken so literally, but this is why you scout the player and not the helmet, or so they say.
