Hi, everyone!
Hope all of you are happy and healthy!
As many of you know, I have not been putting in the time this year as normal. Been investing all of my time with my hockey sons. I will return someday with a vengeance. It is all or nothing for me.
The only position group I have spent some time evaluating this year is the WR class. Here are the top 5 on my board
1. Ceedee Lamb
2. Denzel Mims
3. Michael Pittman, Jr.
4. Jerry Jeudy
5. Justin Jefferson
My number one WR last year was AJ Brown, and I drafted him with my 49ers draft last year. Bosa and Brown. Not a bad pair.
There is nobody in Brown's class this year. I graded him higher than any WR in this draft class. I really like Lamb. He simply wants it more than everyone else. He is a DOG!!! I really like Jeudy as well, but I think he is going to be strictly a slot WR at the next level. And, his testing was really mediocre. Good, but not great at the next level. Mims aced the Senior Bowl, completely dominated the week, and then crushed the combine. This usually translates to success in the NFL. His physical upside is off the charts. Last year, McLaurin killed the Senior Bowl, and people slept on him. Bad mistake. As for Pittman, he is always open. Don't know how, don't know why. Just always has separation. Don't love his YAC at the next level, but he is going to move the chains A LOT!! Going to be a lot of teams upset they didn't select him in the first round.
My draft strategy would be centered around Lamb at 13 if selecting a WR. If staring at 31, the team should seriously consider Mims and Pittman.
Have a great, great draft week!
And, stay healthy! Hoping to catch you on the live draft thread on Thursday.
Cheers,
MD

We need another ass kicker like Deebo. Homerun pick. Deebo went into Seattle and punched them right in the mouth. No fear.

Damn MD has spoken! Great you're doing well with the current circumstances. If he said Lamb, then Lamb it is
. Hero also likes Pittman on that list. Add me on the Mims train. What the hell, surprise me and let's get this get this party started now! We'll all be in for a surprise I bet!

From the WR portion of Bob McGinn' Top 100 board based on the order of how he thinks these guys will get drafted from talking with scouts and execs:
1. CeeDee Lamb, Oklahoma: The scouts say there's no Julio Jones or Calvin Johnson in the group. Ten years from now there might be, and Lamb could be it.
2. Jerry Jeudy, Alabama: He's so precise in and out of his breaks.
3. Henry Ruggs, Alabama: Speed has always killed, and it does even more in today's game.
4. Justin Jefferson, LSU: Jefferson is a complete player who probably fits best as a big slot.
5. Jalen Reagor, TCU: Mr. Explosive. Reagor plays with admirable edginess.
6. Brandon Aiyuk, Arizona State: Aiyuk came out of relative anonymity from October on.
7. Tee Higgins, Clemson: A popular choice in the scouting fraternity for having the best hands in the draft.
8. Bryan Edwards, South Carolina: Edwards is a much-admired player who's coming off a meniscus tear late in the season.
9. Denzel Mims, Baylor: His 6.66-second 3-cone resonated among scouts.
10. Michael Pittman, USC: A towering tough guy, Pittman is more than just possession.
11. Laviska Shenault, Colorado: Shenault is a quintessential boom-or-bust selection.
12. Van Jefferson, Florida: He doesn't have a 40 time, so timed speed will forever remain a mystery. But his exquisite routes were obvious.
13. KJ Hamler, Penn State: Hamler is diminutive and dangerous — when he catches the ball.
14. Devin Duvernay, Texas: He's a big-play slot guy with speed and thickness.
