Just what I would expect a GM who wants a certain WR at 13 to say

Yeah we'll see what happens. It's a 50/50 shot right now but I'd be pissed if Lynch tipped his hand two days before the draft.

I mean, he's not lying
If the league is going to be flooded with WR talent then it makes sense to grab all the coverage guys you can and make the offense focus on the run (since other teams won't have the personnel or scheme to defend it).
Henry is going to feast for a few more years.

Hi, everyone!
Hope all of you are happy and healthy!
As many of you know, I have not been putting in the time this year as normal. Been investing all of my time with my hockey sons. I will return someday with a vengeance. It is all or nothing for me.
The only position group I have spent some time evaluating this year is the WR class. Here are the top 5 on my board
1. Ceedee Lamb
2. Denzel Mims
3. Michael Pittman, Jr.
4. Jerry Jeudy
5. Justin Jefferson
My number one WR last year was AJ Brown, and I drafted him with my 49ers draft last year. Bosa and Brown. Not a bad pair.
There is nobody in Brown's class this year. I graded him higher than any WR in this draft class. I really like Lamb. He simply wants it more than everyone else. He is a DOG!!! I really like Jeudy as well, but I think he is going to be strictly a slot WR at the next level. And, his testing was really mediocre. Good, but not great at the next level. Mims aced the Senior Bowl, completely dominated the week, and then crushed the combine. This usually translates to success in the NFL. His physical upside is off the charts. Last year, McLaurin killed the Senior Bowl, and people slept on him. Bad mistake. As for Pittman, he is always open. Don't know how, don't know why. Just always has separation. Don't love his YAC at the next level, but he is going to move the chains A LOT!! Going to be a lot of teams upset they didn't select him in the first round.
My draft strategy would be centered around Lamb at 13 if selecting a WR. If staring at 31, the team should seriously consider Mims and Pittman.
Have a great, great draft week!
And, stay healthy! Hoping to catch you on the live draft thread on Thursday.
Cheers,
MD

Damn no Ruggs MD?!
You're usually spot on with your board. So, I guess I'll be happy with Lamb at 13 or your #2,3, 5 at #31.

Averaged 3.5 catches a game and about 60 yards a game. Those numbers scare me....a lot.
I know there were a lot of mouths to feed at Alabama, but if you are a guy who is top half first round,er I want to see more than that.

I completely agree. No one should be surprised if Ruggs and Juedy don't become stars
