Hey MD,

where would you put Jace Sternberger, TE, on your big board. Or overall TE rankings. I know he projected around the end of the 2nd or early 3rd. Is that what you see in your evals?

My guy, this is my ideal scenario as well. Although I'd be happy with an OL in the third depending on the player. OL and S is a place where we've got players, it's just the players suck and can't stay healthy. Hard to say if our S or OL are worse though, whenever they are actually healthy. Probably would lean towards safety needing the upgrade a little more.

This is a best case scenario for me.

I have Sternberger as TE3 with a late second round value. I think he is very good. However, I think the team needs more a blocking TE to compliment Kittle. I really like Moreau and Wesco as stud blocking TEs.

I have Z. Gentry rated higher over Stern... very close, but I like Gentry more because he went to Harbaugh's School of TEs..
Hey MD...
Would you be cool with choosing a single high safety at 36 and then a WR in the third round? I really like Chauncy Gardner-Johnson and feel FS is actually a bigger need for the Niners than WR.

Yes. I think that would be great. The best single highs left are Adderley and CGJ. There will still be a ton of talent at WR early in the third.

I agree pick a safety at #36 then you can always move up a little from #67 if you are targeting a WR.

It's unanimous! Hear that Niner brass?

Yep Moreau would be a great pick.
Man we have a chance to get a guy in your top ten or top fifteen with our second round pick. CraY talent here. I wish we had another second lol

I love looping back to players for one final eval. When I was watching Moreau this week, I was astonished how often he stayed in for pass protection and blocked guys on the edges. He blocks better than a lot of OTs.

I grade the back end of 2018 higher than the front end. What did I see from AJ Brown in his last few games:

Because of our utilization of Juice at TE in some blocking sets, I am less inclined to go for a blocking TE. I'm interested in another playmaker and red zone threat. Don't know if we'll go after Sternberger or Oliver early, but if we wait, I'm interested in a guy like Dawson Knox. Needs some work but I just see a lot of potential there and a guy who could wind possibly wind up being a better pro than expected. Alize Mack wouldn't be so bad either.
