If we trade back and the Big 3 are gone who is your target?

That depends who the second TE is. Have you seen Hockenson's tape? Do you remember when the Patriots had both Gronk and Hernandez? Only the Kittle and Hockenson pairing could be even better. Both can catch and block, is going to be next to impossible to stop.

Hockenson and Fant will go top 20. Otherwise we run to the podium if one is available in the second.

I was thinking if we were to trade down, say with the Giants, take a lesser EDGE at 6 and hopefully Hockenson at 17 if not Fant. Quite a few mock drafts have Hockenson going to the Packers at 12 though.

Well, that's one way to go for people who don't dig Metcalf I suppose.

I have always said if we were to trade back, we take a lesser EDGE and DK Metcalf.

Now, since there has been some push back on Metcalf, so let me suggest an alternative option.

This may sound a little crazy to some since we already have George Kittle, has anyone considered the idea of going 12 personnel with 2 x TEs and taking Kittle's alum TJ Hockenson? That dude is a beast. How the hell can the opposing defense cover both Kittle and Hockenson at the same time?!

What do you reckon?

Love the thought as i have neen pounding the table for a 2nd TE though i think 1st or 2nd round is too high IMO. Especially since the position is so deep this year.

Why on earth would we be trading back that far that far. If we miss out on Bosa or Allen I'm gonna say that Lynch would need to be fired. There's no reason we should be trading back unless Bosa or Allen are gone. And because we have the 2nd pick that isn't possible. This team is in MAJOR need of pass rushing. We are guaranteed a chance at one of the top two EDGE rushers coming out.

If there's ever a pick that Lynch is compelled to make it's Bosa if he's there for us, or Allen if the Cardinals take Bosa.

THIS! Anything other than Bosa or Allen, and that is a catastrophic mistake. ELITE players. You gotta have 'em, and at a position like ER, you just don't pass that up. You can't. And at a position of maximal need. ELIITES. Everbody has to have some. We have darn few. One or the other of these two guys or bust. Ergo, as for trades go, the only one i see is if AZ goes murray/Q, the only one on the board i would trade with would be Jets, and they aren't going anywhere near a deal like that. They got their QB...and RAIDS don't. But If AZ passes on Bosa /Allen, we give up #2 , our only sure fire way to get Allen or Bosa is to trade with Jets. So i don't see that happening at all.

And we stand pat with #2. Oops, misread DJs post. Would trade with Raids under this circumstance only. As long as we knew Gruden wanted a QB. But that is the only other ciircumstance where this works. Bosa or Allen. No other scenario.

Well......if he's great at catching and pass protection/blocking, he could kinda fill in two current holes (oline depth, WR)

I don't think we should trade down. If 49ers did not covet pick 2 then they should of traded it for Beckhem. I believe pick 36 is where 49ers try to move down and get a pick in 4th or a 5th since they have none. Only way 49ers trade down is if a 2nd next year is added to other picks in this draft.

If the Raiders offer 4 and their 2nd this year and next year. They will still get Allen or Williams.

I concur. I like Ferrell and I think it would work really well if we could trade with someone with 2 x 1st round picks this year like the Giants.

I am sticking with my 2 options:

- DK Metcalf with Ferrell or
- TJ Hockenson with Ferrell

If we take Hockenson, we can still take a WR at 36. Wow and our offense will be lit!!

What if FO actually trades down with Giants and they select two edge rushers in the 1st round? This isn't going to happen, but if you're one of the posters who don't mind a trade down, are you ok with this move. If so, who do you like (Ferrell and Burns, etc)............?

You'll could say it's stupid or whatever, but FO already mentioned that you can never have too many dline guys

With Thomas, Buckner, Ford, and Armstead, that would have to be some sort of a record for first round DLinemen. 6?!
Montez Sweat or Brian Burns

The Giants are not trading up with anyone.

My problem with so many of these trade down scenarios is that far too often they are wholly unrealistic for the other team. Looking at Gettleman's career track record, the types of QBs they like and what Giants beat reporters are saying and its more likely they trade down tjan move up. They will take full advantage of those two 1st rounders to build their roster.

Maybe ST or AA gets traded soon? Kwon might not be 100%. Ford is our only true edge...it wouldn't hurt to have two more
Absolutely...........Brian Burns!!!!!!!
