Idk if this is where I should ask this question but I remember finding out a day before who the team with the number 1 pick is taking, I don't remember the Mayfield pick coming out until the pick was made, maybe I'm wrong, but what's the chances of knowing who Arizona is taking before the pick is actually in, maybe the niners will have more time to work on a trade tho I'm sure they have scenarios set up already if Bosa goes 1. Just a thought, sry if wrong thread..

Arizona would lose leverage for trading Rosen if they confirmed Murray early, maybe Bosa early to start working on contract parameters

This stopped after the rookie salary structure. Teams with the first pick could start negotiations with their pick to get the contract knocked out before the season started. Back then the 1st overall drafted QB would get paid more than the highest paid QB in the NFL.

I'm glad that's done.
