I agree. When you look at the situation. Keim fires his previous HC who as a defensive coach that drafted Rosen. Keim's been with AZ for a long time, almost 10 years I think. He's treading water after having lost Bruce Arians and fired his HC of last year, and on top of that his team sucks. He has to show results as a GM. Now he hires a College Coach to coach an NFL team. If the GM doesn't give all his support to his HC by getting Kingsbury his preferred QB, and the coach tells the owner, I would think the GM would be fired sometime mid season when they are 0-8. Also keep in mind Josh Rosen didn't light it up last year and hasn't earned their confidence as the franchise QB with last year's performance, I would think. I think it's a easy read - they are going to trade Rosen, get some draft capital back and go for Kyler.

Uh, do you really think Steve Wilkes had ANY say in drafting Rosen?

I do agree that Kiem is screwed, and that his only other out than winning (which isn't going to happen) is getting Kyler and tying him to Kingsbury.

No coach has had a thing to say about who Keim drafts. It was well known that Arians BADLY wanted Pat Mahomes who he thought was the perfect QB for his offense and Keim went "LOL, you want Mahomes? Here's Haason Reddick!"

I hope the Cards take Murray but I think they are crazy if they do. They need so much and he is much more of a risk than any of the defensive guys. A trade back with Oakland would be the best thing for them.

I can't imagine the owner much enjoys watching the QB they should have drafted lighting up highlight reels, while the best coach they've had in a long time goes to coach somewhere else, presumably because (at least, in part) he didn't want to work for an incompetent GM who didn't value the HC's input.

Yeah but he and the owner are close BFF's, more than Baalke and Jed ever were. Nothing is normal about that relationship. I'm sure there is a limit to everything but based on the comments ownership has made, Keim inexplicably seems to still have plenty of rope to work with.

The smart thing for Keim to do is to draft QW, he anchors the box for 10 years and you build around it.

But he's not going to do that, he will eFFFFFF this thing up royally to our 9er benefit!

Cardinals gonna trade Rosen to the Patriots where Belichick and Brady will tutor him in the Dark Arts and he'll go on to lead them to four more SB wins.

And the owner apparently loves him some Murray. When you got a foot and a half out the door and you make some wild HC hire....you go get them their QB. time to push the chips in.

If Murray and Kliff show anything positive together this upcoming yr, Keim will have saved his job for a couple more yrs....if they don't he's gone BUT he's more than likely gone if Rosen doesn't take a massive step forward this yr anyway.

People do dumb things when their backs are against the wall, they need a splash play. The owner wants those headlines, he wants points on the board. Better chance of that happening with Murray then Rosen IMO.

Yeah, Sith Lord Belichick resurrects Rosen to be Brady 2.0 I think it's very plausible that, that happens though - if Bellicheat can get the trade with AZ done.

But really, when was the last time the Cardinals did anything sensible? The sensible thing is QW, so *of course*, they aren't going to do that.
