Lol they won a couple SB based around that D and two lucky throws from eli...that's also a long time ago. We've actually been to the SB sooner than they have.
Basing your future around a RB isn't gonna fly in 2019 of the nfl. They f**ked up that pick so bad, had darnold right there an took a RB? I hope they miss out on Rosen, draft Daniel jones at 17, and he blows...they deserve it after the way gettleman has built that time so far.

Totally agree, I'd much rather they keep Rosen or some other team moves up to draft Murray cause I think he's legit....that said can't control what they do and can only worry about what our team does.

I heard on the Rich Eisen show that all they heard after the combine was Murray will go #1 to the Cardinals. And that they won't trade JR until the draft and they know for a fact they have drafted Murray. Even if a team offers their #1 pick. JR is their backup plan if for some crazy reason they don't draft Murray #1... like if Murray decides he wants to play MLB right before the draft. They can't risk not have a QB at all
I actually had dinner with Murray's agent on Tuesday and he told me that he is going to play football even though he would make much more money playing baseball.
And Scott Boras who is his agent definitely wanted him to play baseball since the contracts are so much higher
Is Boras representing him for football too? (Hope ARI has a good negotiator.)
IIRC NFL signing bonuses are better than MLB for draftees. But, baseball money is better if you make it to the show.
Yea Scott boras is representing him.
Scott also told me there really are no "negotiations" for football contracts, which most know so it's a lot easier for teams.

Or they dodged a bullet passing on Rosen, Darnold, Allen. Could still end up with Haskins. Building around a crap qb is the #1 way to set yourself back a decade.

Does Erik burkhardt work for boras Corp?
If not then odd because I just talked to Scott and he said he put together a group in his office to handle nfl players
I looked it up and he doesn't.
Well, my source is bad!
Lol
It is weird cause I just talked to Scott

is it though? AZ might move on from their "crap" QB in a yr. CBA let's teams move on much quick than in the old days.
I'll believe it when I see it as far as Haskins going to NY. Gettleman is a asshat who's never moved up in the 1st rd or ever drafted a meaningful QB.
IMO Darnold > Haskins

They can and might move him on this season but most teams still go the Tannehill, Winston route.
They likely don't have to move up. And I don't think Darnold is the second coming.

That's fair, we both don't know how Darnold turns out...I will not backup drafting a RB at 2, I don't care if he's Barry Sanders. You gut your team, have no answer at QB, and spend the 2nd overall pick on a position that has proven to be replaceable/short shelf life in the NFL
Even if Darnold turns into say a Matt Ryan level talent, that's massively better than whatever a RB would give you.
Gettleman s**t the bed and continues to IMO.

ESPN's @JordanRaanan confirms Giants are "not in love" with Josh Rosen and will only take a shot if "price is right" (3rd-round pick). Would mean G-Men have little interest in Kyler Murray (too short), Dwayne Haskins (immobile), and now Rosen. https://t.co/snOoDWVJwv

Giants are either really trying to push the leverage thing or they're really that clueless.
And lol at Haskins being immobile but apparently Eli Manning is?
