Foles' departure may impact the draft. But Flacco won't.

No QB needy team is going to pass up making a move for a franchise QB prospect because they just signed Joe Flacco.

If Foles makes it to at least the NFC Championship throw 2nd and 4th round picks at Philly and hope it's enough to knock some sense in Doug Peterson's head!!!

I love Nick Foles, the kid has some poise and magic to him like I haven't seen in a while. Hmmm I wonder what it would be like if he was a full time starter though?

Dude, I can't see Haskins not going number 1. Bosa is ours.

Here's the thing, why would a team need to trade all the way up to #1 if they know, Arizona, San Francisco and New York don't need QB's? Trading up to 3rd overall pick is a helluva lot cheaper than trading up to #1 overall if you ask me!!

Once again, you'd be taking a risk that nobody else moves up to 1 or 2 if you're targeting #3 to save money. Plus maybe the Jets love someone on their board and don't want to move down?

It's a risk. If a team loves someone enough and they think he's worth it then you go as high as you can and ensure you get your guy.

IMO as long as Haskings does great in draft prep/interviews/combine/pro day and teams fall in love with him then Arizona is moving down or we are if Bosa is gone.

Hey 49ers fans. Been watching you guys since you have been featuring Kittle.

Here's a sleeper to keep an eye out. Mid round Hawkeye gem.

Safety Amani Hooker. Declared a year early. Could be there 4th-5th round.

Has very good sideline to sideline quickness. Good ball skills, sure tackler. Next Hawkeye steal imo. Plays Safety and this year our hybrid LB role. Worth a gander
So most people here(myself included) have focused on potential defensive players the Niners can draft at #2 overall. My question, for those of you that watch a lot of college football is, are there any elite offensive players that would be worth the #2 pick in this years draft? O-line, WR, ect? The NFL is increasingly becoming an offensively dominated league....and with the constant rule changes benefiting the offense, I don't see that changing any time soon. Having said that, I wouldn't mind investing more in the offense if an impact player is available. Any thoughts?

Disagree. Flacco would throw a fit if he got Lamar Jackson'd again. He's going to make sure he gets at least a year without a rook breathing down his neck. You trade for him, you likely agreed to that.
Bosa made a wise decision sitting out the season.

All the top prospects have recent tape for scouts to pick apart and criticize. Can't do that with Bosa

Appreciate the heads up Hawkeye! I will definitely check him out. Sounds like a modern day safety/LB guy to me.

Iowa's TE's are looking good too.

Dawson Knox the TE from Ole Miss would be an awesome pickup in the 3rd or so. Even with all the talent Ole Miss has at WR, seemingly the QB went his way on so many critical 3rd down and 4th down plays. Ole Miss had him lined up in a number of different positions, and he's a former QB and seems to be able to find the soft spot in zones well. Would be an awesome backup to Kittle.
Played pretty well in the national title game

OL? No, and I speak as someone who wants the lines built and solid before anything else. Williams, the tackle from Alabama, seems to be considered the likely first man taken. There aren't any QBs worth the #2, although a desperate team might overdraft Haskins. There are some good running backs but not sure that anyone will go off the board that early. I don't know about receivers, Ridley from Georgia seems well considered but a late 1st round pick. So not really a draft for premier offensive players, although there are probably good pickings to be had in the mid rounds.

Good stuff, Hawkeye! This guy looks like a playmaker - something this team could use in the secondary. He's got pretty good size, too, at 6-0, 210.

Cardinals will go back to 3-4.

Not sure if Williams would be a good fit?

Did we have anyone break down the performances from the championship game? Stock up, stock down?
