I'll be honest. I haven't spent much time researching potential picks. If you would have told me a couple weeks ago the Niners take a DT this year, I would be angry lol. But the bottom line is, the Niners need to draft a game wrecker with the #2 pick this year. Whether that's a defensive player or an offensive player, it makes no difference to me. Niners need to take the BEST PLAYER AVAILABLE...not just draft for need. If Williams is the BPA, I'd have no problem with the Niners taking him.

My thoughts exactly. Was confused people were talking about taking a DT when we have some good depth on our squad but I get it.

It's Bosa/QW then everyone else.

But still I'm just happy we gonna get one of Bosa/QW/Allen. Hope Allen can prove himself more in the senior bowl though. Or maybe we get some interesting free agent options.
I've only watched a couple highlight videos of Allen but.....my first impression is that drafting him at #2 might be a little too high. Just my initial gut feeling for whatever that's worth lol.

Agreed, he's just not that skilled of an edge rusher to be drafted at #2.

If he has to play Sam in our base defense that takes him down a notch in my opinion. I can already hear the complaints under Saleh that he's dropping into coverage too much and he's not rushing the passer enough.
next Aaron Donald

I agree, doesn't take over games like you expect a number 2 overall pick to do. He does appear to be a solid player though.

The more I watch this guy, and just read an article about him and his stats, I actually really like him. I say we get rid of one of our inside projects and draft QW. We need to go hard for a FA edge guy though and draft a prospect in the next round. QW is just a beast.

The play last night where he got double teamed and just pushed them both aside in opposite directions simultaneously was insane. I don't see how the Cardinals at least consider a guy like this.
Who is QW being compared realistically to right now? People are Blowing him up like he's Warren Sapp.
He scares me... I have a feeling that he can BALLOON his self out of the LEAGUE...

He really reminds me so much of Sean Gilbert - Chester McGlockton - and our very own Bucko !!

Yeah no way can you burn another pick on interior DL. I think Ferrell will cost us wherever we're picking but guys like sweat/burns SF could possibly move a couple spots down and still get them.

Ferell????? Josh Allen all day
Quinnen Williams and Deforest Buckner could be deadly. Of course I would rather have outside pass rush. But you have to take what falls to you. If that is what is there maybe you take it. You have to take BPA at #2 overall. I don't want to reach for position that early. It's one thing to reach for position in the 2nd or 3rd round. But you just can't do it at #2 overall.

Maybe, a bigger version of Darnold - that might be stretching it, though.

Reminds me of BY: uses quickness to control the gap and always a threat to slip through.

Sapp was an explosive cannon ball. Not sure there's anyone like that in this draft.
Ed Oliver is like Donald (quick, strange shape to block), but not sure he has the same power as Donald.

Actually he plays more like Sapp. Not the same size but the hands and deceptive quickness and anger.
Cards will seriously consider him. He's insanely talented and they need far more help on the interior.
How good is this dude in stopping the run?

Cardinals D was dead last in rushing yards allowed (by a wide margin in fact), and they ranked fifth-best in sacks. Yet apparently their fans think they need more edge help.

If Q Williams is a stud in stopping the run then this should be an easy pick for Arizona IMO.
