Quinnen Williams, DT Alabama

With the Matt Millen comparisons, for what it's worth, the last receiver he drafted in the 1st was Calvin Johnson. Should he have passed?

Yes. Calvin Johnson was a bad pick obviously.

There is a difference. Roy was a cancer and gonna be sent packing. Buckner about to get 100 mil.

For what it's worth? How did the lions do during his career ? Didn't they go 0-16 one year? He joined Barry and gave up on that no future franchise.

Detroit probably should of taken Adrian Peterson or Marshawn Lynch. Which would of been a better compliment for a future QB, which was Stafford. Who ended up just throwing lobs up to Johnson and only making the playoffs 3 times (0-3). I mean what team is going to win paying a WR 64 million? Or how good would Patrick Willis have looked with Jim Schwartz coaching him?

So if he balls out in the national championship game is he not going to be the legit number one pick?

Az has needs and- from what Ive seen- he looks pretty generational to me.

Stafford wasn't there yet. He came two years later.

AA needs to be sent packing.
Watched Q in this last game and he definitely disrupted several plays. He was double teamed almost the entire game. That hit on the QB was nasty, and he blew up that run play for a loss. Saw him get in the backfield several times but that QB for OU was getting rid of it ASAP given Bamas rush.
Back when I was watching Solomon's college tape I would see him taking on double teams and winning the 1v1s against interior linemen. Envisioned him getting better and doing the same in the NFL. Taking on a double team like cowboy did, while our edge rusher gets the QB.

But when you see QW getting double teamed, he either blasts right through them or manages to hand fight two guys at the same time and win.
I actually like Raekwon Davis better...he's strong & tall just like Buckner. Think they'd be a formidable tandem . That said, I'd still like to see Lynch sign DT Malcolm Brown (Pats). Those three would be stout in the middle, something the defense really needs.
I'll be honest. I haven't spent much time researching potential picks. If you would have told me a couple weeks ago the Niners take a DT this year, I would be angry lol. But the bottom line is, the Niners need to draft a game wrecker with the #2 pick this year. Whether that's a defensive player or an offensive player, it makes no difference to me. Niners need to take the BEST PLAYER AVAILABLE...not just draft for need. If Williams is the BPA, I'd have no problem with the Niners taking him.

My thoughts exactly. Was confused people were talking about taking a DT when we have some good depth on our squad but I get it.

It's Bosa/QW then everyone else.

But still I'm just happy we gonna get one of Bosa/QW/Allen. Hope Allen can prove himself more in the senior bowl though. Or maybe we get some interesting free agent options.

I've only watched a couple highlight videos of Allen but.....my first impression is that drafting him at #2 might be a little too high. Just my initial gut feeling for whatever that's worth lol.
