A lot of the guys after Bosa are going to really need to impress at the combine since there really isn't a consensus after him. GM's will be trying to project how much better can they make this guy and will he get better and better. Will he still be playing 10 years from know or will he be 3 and done. All questions they will try to answer. A GM for a young team rebuilding might go after a different player than a team that is a player or 2 away and wants to take advantage of their window before it closes. That's why it's so hard to project who will draft who after the first 3 or 4 picks.

His size worries me. 6'2" is kind of short for an ER.

Nah.

I know Von Miller is kind of on the short side, too - so who knows.

For you, mayo:

Dude, this is a good thing. Low man wins. I think Baalke has skewed many fan's perception because natural leverage is always a good thing.

6'2"/6'3"(Von Miller, Khalil Mack, Everson Griffen, Melvin Ingram, Justin Houston, etc) is a sweet spot for edge rushers, especially those with power and explosiveness. Combine those two traits with natural leverage and tackles start flying onto their ass(see Khalil Mack).

Length is so overrated for pass rushers. It's valuable as for defending the run, but as a pass rusher, things like violent hands, timing, placement, and knowing how to rush the passer(ie working half man, rushing with a plan, setups, etc.) are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more important.

Power, explosiveness, and natural leverage on display(and sweet hands). Carl Lawson(6'2" w/ 31.5" arms) is a f**king beast. I bet if you ask tackles who are the most annoying players to play against they'd say it's the dudes with these traits.

And there are so many of the greatest edge rushers that you can add to that list. Lawrence Taylor, Derrick Thomas, Dwight Freeney, etc.

My dad would say, "He plays like he has a firecracker in his ass."

Isnt Elvis Dumervil under 6 feet? If a player has all the skills to be a great pass rusher it doesnt matter if he isnt 6'5".

Ya but he looks a little light in the pants to me as well. Imagine trent brown- or someone similar- getting his hands on this guy. Bug splat. Goodbye top ten pick.

I dunno bro I think we have better options.

Yeah, but 6'2" is about as short as I want to go.

Easier said than done. How many BIG tackles did Dumervil work over in his career? What about 6'2", 245 pound Robert Mathis? Von Miller is 6'3" and 250 pounds. You don't need a massive pass rusher to beat tackles.

Dwight Freeney was 6'1". His 125 sacks suggest that his height was not a detriment to his play.

Yeah, but Freeney is the exception. Not too many 6'1" ends starting in the league.
