Here is an odd thing. The month before the draft, people spend a lot of time putting out false information and trying to mislead other teams. As we did last year with McGlinchey.

Simms isn't some voice for Kyle in the media. Sure they're friends but he's got a lot of nfl friends. The nfl has been high on Gary since he was in HS.

Oh absolutely, but it was the timing that did it for me, it broke right after they met at the combine.

Simms has been high on Gary forever, Simms like Gary is a Jersey guy and Chris and Phil watched him back in HS. He also stated he doesn't view him as a straight up edge rusher. He called him a crash DE that could benefit from rushing from the interior.
We ain't taking him man, i'm telling ya.

We never scheduled a visit with McGlinchey last year to mask interest. We scheduled a visit with Gary but now that visit is canceled. Not exactly the same thing.

I would not like the pick if it were Gary.
However we cannot call the pick bungled or call for the HC or GM's jobs not having seen the kid play a down for us.

Having seen the kid underwhelming play in college was enough for me to call it a bungled pick. If you suck in college chances are you will suck in the NFL

He did not suck in college though. Was definitely underwhelming from a production standpoint however.
His fit in this scheme as the big end is fine with Ford entrenched at LEO.
