It's not Shanny you got to worry about it's the players and Shanny is not going to tell them tank. If we play St Louis's backups who will be playing to tank just to avoid injuries it might be hard to steal a loss.

Bad news is we got a 4 o clock game that day so they'll likely know their fate.

Throw in backups to our backups and call high school plays

Exactly. A lot of people want to plug in a pass rusher at SAM(not my preference anymore--I'd prefer a guy who specializes in playing pass coverage/run defense/tackling), but the big end can also be a 3-down edge rusher.

So you think they'd throw clowney over at RDE on base downs?

They'd probably put him at Leo

btw, RDE is Leo; LDE is big end. Sides are always from the perspective of the defense

No I understand that...currently our RDE is like 290 lbs. also from what I've read Clowney is being used as a OLB and has thrived in that role.

Regardless he's not making it to FA and it's a mute point imo. There's already been talks about him getting tagged and the issue is what position do they tag him under.

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/jadeveon-clowneys-2019-franchise-tag-designation-to-bring-clash-between-nfl-and-nflpa/

I'm not gonna argue over it if he came here would be sweet but very very unrealistic. He's gonna look for Mack money and someone will pay that if by the grace of god the Texans let him go.

Pretty much. He's going to get tagged, and if he doesn't he'll get contract out of our price range.

Ahh my bad...I looked at our depth chart and it had AA as RDE

So in some crazy universe we ended up with clowney and Bosa you're putting clowney at RDE and Bosa at LDE?

I'm going to be pissed when LDN squeaks out a win to miss out on this guy.

I agree that Clowney would play LEO. I watch texans games just to watch him, and hes a damn beast. He moves all around ame can rush from anywhere, but his best asset is speed to power. Give him space and let him feast. Nick can 1 on 1 vs anyone from anywhere so hed do fine as a 3 down strong end
