I'm a Stanford guy, I watched a lot of ST and yes he rushed from the edge.

He was all over the D-line on the farm!

He rarely played on the edge, that is why he was such a huge projection there in the NFL. He played the vast majority of his snaps inside. Bosa has played virtually all of his snaps at defensive end.

Also a Stanford guy. Was at Stanford- Colorado game... came away thinking, he could be a good late first rounder. Not 3rd overall!

I was thinking the same thing! Couldn't believe we took him #3 overall!

I feel the same way when I think about taking a guy #2 overall that missed basically his entire senior season and never had more then 8.5 sacks in a season in college.

Okay... so how can you compare him to Bosa? They don't have even remotely the same skillset?

The ten yard split in my opinion is the best predictor of success as a pass rusher in terms of measurements. This boy has the best time since Kahlil Mack. Let that sink in
49er scout "with ties to Shanahan whoa" says don't overthink it if bosa is on the board he's the niners pick at 2, sounds like exactly the kind of thing you leak from the most credible of sources with the most wonderful ties, when you have zero interest in a player, whew rejoice fellow faithful we dodged that bullet.

"Don't overthink this s--t. If [Nick] Bosa is on the board, the Niners are picking Bosa." A rival scout who has deep connections to Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers told me that this week when I checked in on league happenings. Like the Murray-to-Arizona talk, this isn't new.

Rival scout is a key word, meaning that is said scout's opinion.
I think Quinnen is the better player, but also liked how Thomas played inside last year. Heck, not many of us thought we had a chance and Bosa after collecting those late season wins. And we really shouldn't have been in this position, so I'll take it.

It's unreal how people who dislike Bosa like to fudge things up to push a narrative.

We get it ya'll don't like him, you don't have to makup things it's makes you look silly.

Bosa and Thomas will be top 3 picks. Please explain Bosa's NFL hands and pass rushing technique?

You don't draft a guy #2 overall because of his 10 yard split & shuttle time. Check out his three cone, which measures change of direction (balance and speed) something that a DE will need in order to rush the passer. The combine did not say that Bosa had elite speed or balance, in fact it said otherwise.

Past 20 years! Aldon Smith alone possessed more technique AND speed then Bosa!
Not to mention guys like Mack, and V. Miller! Myles Garrett had more EVERYTHING than Bosa. I don't understand the infatuation with a guy that hasn't played much football. I remember when I was like the only person on this board that wanted his brother.

1. The combine didn't say Joey had elite speed or athleticism either, but he was worth the 3rd pick.

2. If Miles Garrett and Bosa were both sitting there at 2, I would want Garrett. He isn't available, and the next best available pass rusher is Bosa, so I want him.

Bosa has 17.5 sacks in 3 seasons in college, that is dominating to you?

JJ Watt has 11.5 sacks in 3 seasons in college, is that dominating to you?

But his 40 time was only 4.8 and his three cone was downright disgusting?

Not to mention his arms are sub 34 inches.

Rosen going to camp. QW is the pick

him going to camp means nothing as far as them taking Murray. If they want Murray, moving Rosen can happen whenever they want. Like Kliff said "it's a business"

End of the day if it is Q, while it messes up the rest of the draft and past picks he's still f**king good.

I disagree, it would be incredibly risky to allow him to practice before he is traded if they intend on trading him. If he gets a Bridgewater type of injury, they won't be able to get anything for him. If they are going to trade him, they will probably do it before the 8th or hold him out of practice. If they don't, they have way more courage (or stupidity) that I do. I could be wrong, maybe Kingsbury wants to see him live in practice 1st before deciding to trade him.

I mean there's no real practicing going on until what OTAs?

This April 8th program is basically strength and conditioning activities.
Can't believe I missed all this fun with glorydayz.

To be fair we haven't had the Thomas = Bosa stuff in a while. Better than politics talk.
