so where's the narrative that Allen has more potential because of his athleticism
How about the scenario he was really only coached this season

So you're on the bandwagon of drafting someone who "could" become a superstar if he is coached up? VS drafting a kid who's straight up pro-ready and is an ideal fit for our most needed position at LEO. Allen and Bosa aren't the same player and wouldn't play the same position.

I'll take Bosa and sign Anthony Barr vs signing say Fowler and drafting Allen. both are good scenarios the first is my preference

I'm on the bandwagon of wow, look what the guy can do when he gets coached. At this point I won't be excited about pick #2. Bosa imo will be that 9-10 sack guy. If he doesn't get injured.

Pass rushers dont need to run in a straight line, and they need a powerful lower half. Seems fine to me.

Don´t overthink.
Just draft Bosa at two if he´s there.

And then go back and rewatch that Seattle win...and enjoy that s***.

Wish I could rewatch that game, it's no longer on YouTube.
So is it that time of the off season to say he's overrated and not worth a high pick?

Exactly what I was thinking!!! Good post. Julian Edleman was the Super Bowl MVP and those receivers are far better than him. Give us Bosa dammit!!!

I go back to the old Bill Walsh philosophy. Scheme your offense, win with studs on your defense.

Absolutely. What gets overlooked is just how good our defenses were in our superbowl wins.

We need to be signing Houston whether we draft Bosa or not.

No. He is overrated but still probably the best prospect in the draft.

So you're in the bandwagon of "what if" and upside vs polished and day 1 ready. I like Allen as well, but as of right now he's not in the same realm as Bosa as a pass rusher.

Also sounds like you want a SAM LBer vs a LEO as well. What are you gonna do at the LEO spot then? Just curious...

What defines a generational talent? Doing well in the combine? Come on.

Looking like a god nearly every single play in college. I'll save you the time and give you two to go look at their college tape: J.J. Watt and Randy Moss.

When you're a generational talent you look like a superhero playing against college players.

Guess so...I wouldn't have been shocked if we were in a spot to draft Garnett a couple yrs ago and people would be complain about it somehow

They would have called him injury prone and said that Thomas had more upside.

enough of drafting a "could be"...we need someone who can come in and be a difference maker. That is what our defense needs. We get that, then a Rashawn Gary, or Montez Sweat in the 2nd round. We are going to have lots of good talent to take in our first 2 picks. Lets keep them and use them.

While I agree Bosa is that "it" player and if there you take him no question....not sure how the heck you expect Gary or Sweat to be around in the 2nd rd though?

Houston released

He'll command a premium then, as an aging pass rusher
