They had 2 SB wins before Rice even showed up. He was more of a finishing piece than a building block. Walsh acquired his QB and built his defense. Over 5 years later he drafted Rice.

Yes. So? Don't get your point. Walsh extended the wco playbook for jerry and kept the good thing going for another 5 years. Walsh and montana are goats and jerry is a goat thereby resulting in 5 supoerbowls. What's your point? I don't get it. Don't make jerry sound incidental. That';s crazy talk.

Players that can stay off IR usually do!

Durability will be the reason Bosa falls out of No 1 overall.

And teams will instantly regret it.

Injuries last year will be the reason for our comeback to the playoffs and SB contention.

First Jimmy's injury getting us a high enough draft pick to have a chance at Bosa and Bosa's injury for making people forget what a beast he is...

Both guys will stay healthy for a long time as we win several SBs with each of them being keys on each side of the ball.

Different era nice try. And as GOAT as Jerry is, we won those SBs for other reasons. Oh and he has 3 wins...

They also won most of their SBs before the salary cap became an issue. Jerry won 2 of his rings before they even introduced it.

What do you mean we won jerrys superbowls for other reasons?

chargers, broncos bengals were off the charts performances of all time for a receiver.

Come on man. Apologize immediately to jerry for that remark. Come on.

You know what I mean. We had a HOF QB in each SB win, dominant defenses to back him up. Nobody is taking anything away from Jerry but just shooting down the silly and just wrong analogy.

So we were a top 10 during the season but in the SB they weren't? Are you legit trying to say we won those SBs just because of Rice? Otherwise i'm not sure what your point is.

Wanna point to me when Jerry ever got $20 mil per season?

Dude nobody is making Jerry sound incidental. He's easily the greatest WR to ever play the game. The point was made in the current state of the NFL and OBJ and Rice should never be mentioned in the same breath.

If OBJ had the passion and mental toughness of Rice I'd trade for him straight up. He is NOT Jerry Rice.

Like I said, I'd love to have OBJ's talent on this team. His contract and his mentally weak diva attitude I can do without.

When was the last time a team with a dominant and super highly paid WR helped the team win the SB? I just think having a guy even as talented as OBJ make that much money is a way to handicap a team.

Antonio - 0 SB wins
Julio - 0 SB wins
Hopkins - 0 SB wins
Green - 0 SB wins
OBJ - 0 SB wins

I trust Kyle to find and develop WRs. I'd rather get the sure fire stud in Bosa and address WR in the 2nd/3rd rounds and develop those guys.

Exactly what I was thinking!!! Good post. Julian Edleman was the Super Bowl MVP and those receivers are far better than him. Give us Bosa dammit!!!

One of the big selling points on Allen was that he was substantially more athletic than Bosa. That doesn't appear to be the case.

On the other, Bosa is significantly more polished and consistent as an edge rusher.

Yep, I was dead wrong on that one. I thought Allen would test like a freak compared to Bosa. Maybe everyone was using the wrong wording, or I'll speak for myself, Allen doesn't have a higher ceiling because of athleticism but more so because of versatility Oh well, doesn't seem to matter now cause our shot at Bosa is becoming more realistic and I don't think Lynch would pass on him for any other DRAFT prospect
Any chance he's overrated or injury prone?

Lynch driving by Bosa's house nightly, calling and then hanging up, leaving roses, stuffed animals and gourmet chocolate on his doorstep.

Burns needs Bosa to sit him down and explain at length the concept of "leg day."

He looks like a dam T Rex

A 40 yard dash is irrelevant to Bosa's game.
Not in Saleh's Defense. He's going to be asked to cover WR's like Solomon and Marsh were both required to.

A DE covering a WR isn't going to be sprinting 40 yards unless its distantly chasing a guy who is headed into the endzone. Long distance speed has nothing to do with his game. He ran a faster 40 than his brother, and his brother is an elite player. Ill be ok with him being unable to chase down Julio Jones.
Grant Cohn says that bosa doesn't have the height or speed to rush from the outside. also says the 49ers don't need another inside rusher .... according to cohn bosa is an interior player.

I don't think you have to spend a #2 overall pick on someone for their versatility if the other guy is the better prospect at the position you're actually looking for.

Draft Bosa and sign Anthony Barr and you basically have both...

That's because Grant Cohn is an idiot.

I can't believe anyone takes that hack seriously. He's a flamethrower lol

Until AZ trades Rosen I'm calling BS anyways. Nobody is giving up a first rounder for Rosen are they?

I guess they could take QW as well, but who knows.
Why is there so much hype for this guy. Thus far he seems to be just like his brother. Can't stay healthy. Could be an amazing pass rusher if he stays healthy. However, is his body of work worthy of the 2nd overall pick? What am I missing?
