I actually almost mocked 1-23 Benjamin and a 3rd for 1-9. Which i would do too

49ers had no interest in Benjamin before, not sure why that would change now. He is the antithesis of everything Kyle looks for in a WR. Slow, clunky and runs sloppy routes. Carolina got rid of him to OPEN their offense up.

I don't think buffalo would give up their 2nd just to move up 3 spots.

Chicago gave up 2 3rds to move up one. A 2nd wouldn't be enough if they are moving up for a QB.

49ers should demand a 2nd, a later pick and a future 3rd at minimum.

Just toss the trade value chart out the window when QBs are involved.

No way the second trade happens with Benjamin in it.

Niners value speed
Niners value players who are all about football and highly motivated
Niners value receivers who can create separation.

Is Benjamin any of those things? Still would be a great trade without him.

I just don't think it'll happen. They can probably stand put and take Lamar Jax there.

Maybe. Do you want to be the GM who goes back to his fanbase like "welp, we ALMOST got a QB!"

Do you want to be Buffalo and see the Patriots swoop in front of you to snatch up a QB?

When QBs are involved, leverage is huge. Look how much the Jets gave up to move up 3 spots. If there is a QB prospect at #9 that multiple teams want, the asking price will be more than just a 2nd rounder.

Oh I definitely hear you out on what you're saying. I just think jax isn't in that "it'll be worth it" category. Now if Jax is low key buffalo's guy...

I'm not giving up the 9th overall pick for OBJ. Dude wants $20 million a yr lol. I'm not paying that and giving up a young blue-chip player on a cheap contract for a injury prone diva. 2nd this yr and next sure
