MD, do you ever feel like a $2 whore each year after these releases? LOL.

Thanks MD, great work. Just curious, your thoughts on Josh Allen?
Agree 100% with you on fitzpatrick, just not sure where he translates best. I think he can play any spot on any defense, just not sure what spot would get the most out of his potential.

Teams use the Draft Trade Chart as a guideline for the numeric value of each pick and selection, although they are not bound to follow it. If you stick with the chart, trading down from 9 to 12 would net you that team's 4th rounder. It is not much compensation. Moving from 9 to 15 will get you their third rounder, but you'd have to throw in a 5th rounder in addition to the number 9 overall.
I do think the Niners could be a potential trade partner for a team desperate to move up and snag a QB in the top 10 picks. I just think all four of the top guys will be gone before the 9th overall. I see them picked at 1,4,5,and 6.
That sure feels like how it is going to go.
#7 and #8 are going to be draft nail biters if we stay at #9.

I know OL and Edge are priorities but I hope the Niners can also get a tall WR for the red zone. Anyone else besides St. Brown or Sutton early or Ateman late that would fill that need? TIA

It's witchcraft. So hard to hit at a high level. Humbling every year.
MD great work and thanks for the responses. How do you see the QBs going vs. how you have them rated? I know you're in Browns country and tend to be keyed into their preferences/tendencies, if they stay at 4, who do you think they're targeting?
I am saving my full review of QBs for last (i've got watch every snap to feel good about my view), but as of now, I'd rank them: Mayfield, Darnold, Rosen, Allen. We'll see if that sticks after watch the boys throw.
I do think the Browns are targeting Allen at 1. I think 4 is traded to a team moving up for a QB. King's ransom.

Nah, just one man's opinion. Time will tell if I did i right, or if I was sloppy and missed something.

As we all know, Allen has a gigantic arm. He can make throws no one else can in the NFL. And, I do think he will be a success. Inconsistency is always his big issue. Not sure if better footwork, and other mechanics can fix that. Smart kid, loves football. Good head on his shoulders. Has a lot of good things going on. Hoping he can break the curse of the Browns.

History shows that picks 7-9 usually has a wildcard that becomes the draft's first shocker. Not sure that will happen with the number of QBs being picked early this year.

I love Michael Gallup as a value WR. Been watching him a lot lately against some top competition (Isaiah Oliver of Colorado, the Alabama secondary, etc.). He has a really strong overall game. When the Rams were losing badly against Alabama this year, he ran all the way back to make a tackle on a Bama DB before he scored. Total heart. No diva!
I also think Cedrick Wilson is good value later in the draft.

He's a one trick pony. The dude can get deep better than anyone in this draft class. He's going to pop some big ones in the NFL. I just don't see enough underneath to give me comfort in drafting him early. The guys who come in and shine are great route runners. Think Cooper Kupp when evaluating.

This year it is The guard class of 2018. So many really great players. Q. Nelson, C. Williams, Wynn, W. Hernandez, B. Smith, F. Ragnow (if he slid over from center). This is the best guard draft class in my 30+ years of doing this. All of these guys are inside my top 30 best overall players. We could see four of these guys taken before the first OT.
Some of the guys who bust it on the field, and would love to go to war with: Nwosu, Jewell, M. Cole, S. Moore. I like these dudes a lot. Give me some guys who love football.
You had me thinking we traded up for Lamp last year. I was sold on him and not happy about Foster. I warmed up to it throughout the year but I guess we will wait and see. Now we have a troublemaker instead of an ACL patient.

6 QBs in first round, this is going to be like the QB Class of 1983 with Elway, Kelly, Marino, Blackledge etc.

So far, Foster seems to be more knot head than thug.

I remember Aaron Roger's just dropping after we drafted Alex, I'm hoping something like that happens to us from a defensive standpoint. I.e. a guy like Chubb somehow drops to us because of whatever reason. Last year we dropped one spot and got extra picks, I'm betting that may happen if Landry isn't there. Weak pass rush class says maybe we trade out of the first round all together if the edge rusher we like isn't there. We shall see.
