2018 NFL Draft Running Backs

This isnt where i think these guys will go. But where id feel comfortable taking them. For me i dont want to take a RB just to take a RB. I want a guy think we could keep for 3-4 years. Day 1 & 2 should be feature backs. Day 3 can be role players.



2nd round: If we went Sony Michel I wouldnt complain. He could be "that dude"

3rd round: Rashaad Penny is a solid RB. I question his receiving ability. Seen him miss some eaay ones in senior bowl practice. But running style is PERFECT for us.

Mark Walton, seems to be another perfect fit for us. Looks like the best receiving "feature" back type.


Nick Chubb, I think his style is perfect as well. He has more speed than given credit for. The size and game to be a feature back. He was easily the best back behind Fournette before his injury. Now 2 years renoved he looked like his old self imo. Only difference was sharing the field with Michel.


4th: Jaylen Samuels the best receiving back in the draft. But doesnt seem like a "feature" back type. Shanny could have fun with this guy. If only he could drive it in there like his size indicates he should. He would be PERFECT for us if he can drive it in there.

Royce Freeman, doesn't seem like anything special but seems solid.


6th: Roc Thomas this guy can bring the big play potential while offering a possibility of being "that dude" worst case scenario he cant be that 20 carry a game back and will have to split with others. Which shanny does anyway.

Martez Carter another guy who has that big plauly ability but another committee kind of back.

Chubb almost has a similar college story to Gore. Both were amazing pre-injury and were doubted after injury. Of course is having himself a hall of fame career and we'll see what chubb does. But i am a huge fan of him and would be ecstatic if we landed him.

Outside of Barkley

Walton,Kelly and Michel are my favourites .

I know it's only highlights but John Kelly's are the most fun to watch of any skill position in this draft.

If we could land Kelly in one of the later rounds, I'd be stoked. Same for Walton, or Penny. There's quite a few really good backs this year, but we really still have a ton of needs at other places.

He's a boom or bust type but yeah he's got a ton of talent and upside.

Recently watched some tape of LJ Scott out of Michigan state and he's a nice prospect..very intrigued to watch him at the combine assuming he got the invite..

Webzone guru's... Your top 5 RB's and who you compare them to in the NFL? Also throw in a sleeper/underrated prospect if you want.

Somewhat inconsistent hot & cold type of player. I think he has La'Veon Bell type talent and sometimes shows it but other times looks a little soft.
