Let's talk Running Backs... Man I think this draft is pretty strong at RB. Obviously Barkley is #1 and he is an all-world talent. As good as any RB coming out since I can remember. But, I think there are at least 3 or 4 other RB's in this draft who could be really good top backs in the NFL...
Ronald Jones- USC: Probably my 2nd favorite and rated RB in the draft. 6'0" 200pds with the frame to add on another 10pds easily. He's quick, if not explosive and very shifty. He would be an absolute beast in our zone blocking scheme. Ran behind a not so good O-Line at USC and put up really good numbers. He's a home run hitter but I think he can also be a 20+ carry guy as well. I really, really like this kid. I see some Alvin Kamara in him as well as Jamaal Charles and Melvin Gordon
Derrius Guice- LSU: This kid is sky rocketing on draft boards and I know a lot of people like him here a lot as well. I think he could be a top 15 pick. A good, powerful runner who can be a stud #1 RB if he can stay healthy. I do have some questions about his durability though.
Sony Michel- Georgia: Really good, talented all-around RB. Does everything well. Good locker room guy to and high character. I think he's going to be a heck of a pro. The similarities to Alvin Kamara are undeniable. He's going to be a Second Round steal!
Kerryon Johnson- Auburn: Another solid all-around back who has shown he can be a workhorse back. I like him in the 2nd rd, love him in the 3rd rd. Good character as well. I see some Arian Foster and even Le'Veon Bell in him.
Rashaad Penny- San Diego State: A webzone favorite. I like him to, he's good size, vision and speed. I think he would be a very good fit in our scheme. Like him in the third round, love him in the 4th.
Also I think Royce Freeman, Akrum Wadley, Jaylen Samuels and Nick Chubb can be real solid #2 NFL running backs.
