Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, DE/OLB, Oklahoma

Leave Obo alone.

CBS lost their two main draft guys in Brugler and Rang, their coverage is now garbage. If you look at Mayock's board, Obo checks in around the 60's.
I'm on record banging the drum for this kid. Number 23 overall. Just destroyed too many quality teams last year to ignore. The only guy to even give Isaiah Wynn a challenge. Aced the Senior Bowl week. His measurables are almost identical to Yannick Ngakoue, and I am guessing the league would like a do-over for him. I love the kid.

In my personal draft, based upon my board I think it will play out like this:
1. Roquan Smith- 9
2. Anthony Miller-59
3- Okoronkwo- 70

And John Ledger:

9. Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, Oklahoma – Late Day 2

I'm a fan of Okoronkwo's intensity and hustle, as few have worked harder to develop into a dangerous pass rusher. There isn't really a power element to Okoronkwo's game, and he struggles to incorporate a counter move when his initial rush is stopped. If he fixes his stance and gets off the ball quicker, I do think Okoronkwo has the ability to win with speed and bend at the top of the arc. He's very inconsistent right now, but I'd love to work with a guy like him as a coach.

Ideal Scheme Fit: 3-4 outside linebacker who can drop and cover as needed. Plenty of experience in that role at Oklahoma. He can even play off the ball some as a SAM linebacker.

I've envisioned him as our SAM...a tank of a body to handle the strong side and a guy who can rush off the strong side opposite of a real LEO...basically Eli Harold + Elvis Dumervil in one player.

Maiocco has Miller going to the 49ers in the 2nd, I felt you would approve.

The values we're off for me, but I got all 3 in the Webzone mock! Love these guys!

If we pulled that off, I'd be one happy guy. Three of my favorite players in the draft.

Would have to trade up in the second for Okoronkwo. No way he lasts to our third.

Players considered undersized always fall in the draft. Especially edge rushers

Yep Okoronkwo and Miller could slide into the first if a team falls in love, if not I can't imagine either of them getting past pick 50.

Fair point but this year edge is a little shallow, I have guys like Key (off field issues) and Sweat (injuries) falling. Okoronkwo and Turay could see a boost in IMO.

Sorry, RB or CB probably next. OL later

I expect him to be on the board through the late 2nd round. Matt Miller has him as the 20th edge prospect, McGinn has him 13th, don't believe Mayock has him in the top 10 either. Lack of size and less than stellar athleticism will drop him down.

Would love to see Donte Jackson or Penny at 74. Not sure either will be there
