I've heard of Davenport...he is a freak. He might be worth taking in the mid-rounds. I want Bradley Chubb early. The key point here is we need some legit elite pass rushers. An option to Chubb could be Arden Key of LSU. When healthy, he's beastly.

Davenport likely goes before Key.

I'm pretty much going to guarantee that Chubb is the highest drafted pass rusher
Respectfully disagree, I believe Bucs, Bears and Bengals all could take Key/Landry/Davenport over Chubb. I see him being a good fit for the Jets around 10.

I feel like a lot of people are still judging Key off last year's early mocks for this year.

There's a difference between where teams have guys rated and media draftniks have them rated. At this time a year ago, Kizer was still in the top 5 and some even had Kaaya still in the 1st round.
A couple of years ago there were many who had Carson Wentz rated as a 2nd rounder at this junction and as a late 1st up until February when it was reported that most teams had him as a top 1st rounder from the very beginning.
Now reports are leaking out that NFL teams apparently value Davenport far more than what has been reported up to this point.
Based on their performances this past season and Key being a head case, I'm quite comfortable putting Davenport ahead at this juncture.

Like Kaaya he is holding on by past reputation. Once more stuff by NFL scouts leaks out I expect him to take a substantial dive in the draftnik media, especially with how one dimensional he is.

I would agree. Certainly no one knows what every NFL team is thinking and its pretty silly to say for sure that Key would be ahead of Davenport as of now. But based on what is coming out it does appear that Davenport's stock is rising while Key's is going down. If I had to bet I would go with Davenport being picked higher come April.

Was Aldon even seen as a first rounder at this time in 2010?

I found this in which Kiper had Aldon as the 11th pick in January 2011

Personally, I think Key is still highly touted. If you you're fine with his weight being 240-245 as a rookie, then pull the trigger. He was written off early this season, but unjustly perhaps. He gained a lot of weight because he was thin, not because he was lazy. He wasn't carrying it well and decided to lose it throughout the season. If you look at him the last 4 or 5 games, you see the athletic pass rusher from 2016.
Key's stock may be falling, but I don't think it's nearlt to the degree as perceived. He's still considered one of the elite pass rushers in this draft. He's just SKINNY!
You have to look at Ley and think of his as a Leonard Floyd type of pass rusher. He'll get pushed around a little, but he's going to get to the QB.
Edit: in relation to Davenport, I think Key is leading the battle until we see Davenport compete against Div 1 guys. Key has done it against Alabama... NFL talent. Dav still needs to show he can too.

Key definitely sounds likes hes better suited to play the SAM and slide to elephant in Nickel.

Chubb, Landry, Ferrell or Davenport in the first would be great. I'm not touching Key until the 2nd round. I don't trust that guy at all.
Unfortunate for us it seems like if we want to address Leo we need to do it with our first rounder. There are some other guys available later but nobody on the level of those guys. Hopefully we find the right guy to take our D to that next level.

If key is there in late 1st do you do it? As far as trading up again?
